I'm almost embarrassed to tell y'all how much time I've put into Skyrim so far (and I still have like a dozen more quests left). A game this huge is really bad for someone like me who has crippling gaming OCD. I have to do every single side quest available even though I have way more money than I can possibly spend and I maxed out my level and stats a while ago, so any rewards I get for quests are useless at this point. I'm still having fun though and that's all that really matterss.

I was going to say that I've never stayed entertained by a game for this long, but I've never even played another game anywhere close to this long.

280 hours. I've put 280 hours into this game - and I probably have another 20 to go.

NERRRRRRRDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD...

I was actually planning on buying Skyrim, but I haven't gotten around to it. I keep hearing how amazing it is and now I'll just *have* to get it after your post.

I'm working on Assassin's Creed: Revelations still! It's pretty good, but I'm not into the whole protecting your dens/taking over Templar cities thing. I don't really care about that part of it really and I don't want to use my proteges for defending places. Everything else is JUST AS GREAT~

I hope we get to get out of Constantinople sometimes. I'm still exploring new parts of the city and looking for the hidden objects, but I feel like I'm going in circles XD I already own all the shops, so I guess I can run around buying landmarks and raise my profit.
Oh, and continue with the main story ::meev:: My friends said it was even better than Brotherhood, but we'll see!

I don't think anything can top riding around in Leonardo da Vinci's tank and having to destroy everything. Or chasing someone using a horse and carriage. Or flying over a town causing fires. That whole game was awesome ::batsu:: x 100

I think I've gotten about that much playtime in Etrian Odyssey III without having beaten the last couple of bosses. Still not done...

And I began feeling the same way about Xenoblade. I'm only 20 hours in but I can see it's going to take at least 120 to get through the main quest. @__@ And the overworld is maasssiivveee

I'm working through Kid Icarus: Uprising and Ocarina of Time 3D at the moment. KI:U plays like a really hectic 3D version of Brawl and I love it to death. Dunno how they managed to cram so much content into that tiny cartridge. XD

A few weeks ago I rented Silent Hill: Downpour and beat it twice within a week. I was initially pretty MEH about this game, but as I played it it turned out to be fun. And yay, Henry's apartment! Although it's outer structure is totally wrong. *nerdnerdnerd*

Also played and beat Eternal Sonata and Trace Memory. Former was cute and fun, latter is a very short game.

Aaand I bought the first four Yakuza games, though I'm waiting for the first one to be shipped, so that epic marathon is on hold for a bit. In the meantime, I'm playing Fate Extra. Ugh, didn't think I'd be into this game that much. ::kisaki::

I was surprised by this game too! I ended up liking the soundtrack a lot and the story was pretty awesome! (And the Mine Ride~~ That was my favorite part!!) I didn't really care about most of the side quests, though a few of them were pretty great! Like the ribbons and the ghost in the painting~ But you didn't really get anything that good from them... And yeah, I wanted to go into Henry's bathroom and laundry room to see the walls~ I just think of that window as a dimensional rift into the apartment because *technically*, Henry didn't really live in Silent Hill... ::shifty:: *Revenge of the Nerds!*

I agree, the soundtrack had some pretty nice pieces to it! I also liked hearing the radio music, some of the lyrics are pretty creepy to hear lol. Mine ride was awesome! Like being in an amusement park. ::squee::
Story wasn't bad either, but somehow I feel that there should be something more? Idk, like a more darker psychology regarding his son and Frank or something.

The side quests were ok. Like you said, the ghost painting/gramophone is interesting, but somehow I liked the Tell-Tale Heart and Birdcage ones too.

Ah, that's one good theory ahaha. Or the developers didn't pay much attention. ::meev::

I would have really liked the sidequests if they had enhanced the plot of the story or gave you items that you didn't have to discard. They really succeeded in showing you how messed up some of the residents were though! =D

I know what you mean about the story! I loved the "morgue" with his son, but it seemed that the story was less and less about Murphy and more about the police officer...

I wonder if this company is going to make another Silent Hill game? I approve of them so far~

Yes to the sidequest relativity suggestion! Some of them didn't feel like they had a connection compared to everything else. It's like that part of the game should be "Murphy Pendleton: Tales of a Silent Hill Errand Boy". ::zetsubou::

I get that Frank had an influence on him, but I would have liked to see that fat guy Murphy lynched make an appearence as an Otherworld enemy (apart from Bogeyman). Would have made Murphy's torment more with a twisted structure.

Hmm, I wonder about that. After SH4, there's been different companies handling every game, right?
At least they made an awesome, if a little awkward, surprise ending. Mmmm, birthday cake.

GASP: I just found out that the "Chip's Challenge" guy released a sequel
Chuck's Challenge
They even had a kickstarter and everything but I missed it. Right now it's only available for insufferable hipsters who have iPhones but there's apparently going to be a PC version.

^ No. Way. ::squeeeee::
I used to play Chips Challenge relentlessly with my brother way back in middle school! We got insanely far and kept all the codes in a notebook! I just downloaded Chuck's Challenge because I'm more of a hipster than Ariel. Thanks for the heads up!!! Can't wait to try this~~~~ The memories~~~ ::squee::

I'll be playing Final Fantasy V (yeah... 5!) next week thanks to the Final Fantasy V Four Job Fiesta, which I just discovered some weeks ago, here's a link if anyone's interested or whatsoever XD
http://www.letsplaying.com/lets-playing/FF5FF/index.php

Basically they tell you, randomly, which jobs you'll be playing with and you have to stick with them for the whole game.

I'm 115 hours into Elder Scrolls: Oblivion.

Even though I'm am RPG fanatic, I somehow didn't get around to playing this 6 year-old game until now. Playing it after spending 300+ hours on Skyrim was probably not the best decision, since Skyrim is better and makes this predecessor seem outdated and less satisfying, but, as evidenced by how much time I've put into it so far, it's still a good time.

I don't usually care much about graphics since I grew up on NES and SNES, but after playing Skyrim, the graphics in this thing are shockingly bad. I didn't realize that two games on the same system could look so different. I remember everyone being just gaga over Oblivion's graphics when it first came out too. I also don't care about voice acting since I don't really get that engrossed in storylines in games, but my God, is the VA hilariously subpar.

Whatevs. It's still fun.

I haven't played Skiyrim yet, but a friend of mine gave me Oblivion years ago for the PS3 and I didn't have the space on my machine to install the game, and I had a huge stack of other games, so Oblivion kind of found itself at the bottom of the pile ^^; If you're just doing the main, basic plot without diving too much into side quests, how long do you think it would take to finish the game?

I have no idea. I've only done two of the quests in the main storyline at this point. I've been spending all my time doing the various side quests in each town and jobs for the thief, fighter and assassin guilds - and I'm only halfway done with those.

I don't know why you wouldn't want to experience the whole game and instead just play like 10% of it though.

Picked this up at Goodwill for $2 the other day. I've only played a little while but it's pretty fun and a good excuse to dust off my PS2.

I'm about 15 hours into Fallout: New Vegas. What a great game. I haven't had this much fun with an RPG in a very long time.
