Ah, that's awesome! Recruit the other people and you're solid then.
J-J-J-Jasper! I like that guy, lol. You going to ignore the tubby warden and cranky Braintree?

Lol, his name is Alex. Yeah, he wasn't that interesting overall, but in his flashbacks with his bro he seemed a bit of a douche haha.
That's one of the endings you can end up with, right? I've only played Homecoming once and got the boring 'Escape' ending.
Oh and Pyramid . . . didn't they name him Bogeyman in that game? Anyway, it's lazy and predictable to put him in since that game came out after the SH movie. Probably to bait people into getting in the series by putting in the familiars.

Another bit that's tiring is the Otherworld transitions. It was cool to see in a movie's perspective, obvious that they'd follow it up in a new game, but if they're gonna do that in every game after then it's no fun anymore. If Downpour does this, I'll be disappoint.
I preferred the announcing siren/headache trip that led to the Otherworld.

That sounds neat. I don't look at fanart much, but I saved this awesome SH wallpaper that parodies Little Miss Sunshine with all the main characters. Quite awesome~

@PE: That really does sound awesome!

My stinky roommate from last year used to play Assassin's Creed and I thought it looked pretty cool. I'm not much of a gamer though, so there's no way I would pour all that money into buying a console and everything just for AC, no matter how cool it is ::meev::
you're not a gamer?! ;__;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVUMPrv8oRw --> trailer for it
It does sound awesome! I love how they're making the American Revolution COOL ::batsu:: In previous games they had people like Leonardo da Vinci and Machiavelli (and a bunch of evil historical people), and I think just being able to interact with these people and to go back to what it was like then is really, really nice. Everything is so detailed and gorgeous and the story is... intriguing XD There's just so much to those games that make them stand out.

Asked about future of the series, Sébastien Puel from Ubisoft said that "[...] we could do 35 of these [Assassin's Creed games]."Alexandre Amacio, game director of Assassin's Creed: Revelations, announced that though Assassin's Creed III is likely to bring the story involving Desmond, who has linked together all of the games so far, to a close, it will not necessarily mean the end of the series. When Assassin's Creed returns, it will be back with a new central character. Amacio said there are "many cycles within the brand – that's the whole point. History is our playground". Amacio mentioned that the development cycles at Ubisoft Montreal are changing, too, so that following Assassin's Creed III, teams will be given additional development time, and without a yearly-release schedule to boot.
I'm excited for the future ::batsu::
Ahhhh, AC is totally worth it! There are 5 games so far (ACI, ACII, AC:Brotherhood, AC:Revelations, and now ACIII), so you'll definitely be occupied. There are a ton of other games out there, but I donno what you'd like. But I highly recommend AC to anyone, it just keeps getting better and better. OK that's the end of my plug ::gaku::
I know what you mean about the console thing, I only got my xbox360 because of my grandma was feeling generous XD I LOVE MY XBOX360.

Playing Katawa Shoujo now ::meev::

I played Mass Effect 3 all day yesterday and all night, until 8:30 this morning.

I would feel bad about still doing this kind of thing at my age but I justify it by figuring that once I have a kid I'll never get to do stupid stuff like this ever again (or not for many years anyway), so I might as well live it up while I can. This is the same logic I'm using to justify jetting off to Seattle to see a band I barely listen to anymore.

I beat Mass Effect 3, pretty much played non-stop since it came out last week. However, I am not very happy with how it ended.

Spoilers ~~

The disappointment I am feeling is the same disappointment I felt when Battlestar Galactica ended. Worse I think because I literally invested hundred something hours of time into the Mass Effect series. I literally explored every damn corner of the universe, did every side quest and several play throughs, so it's just hard to accept this shitty halfassed ending. I know the game was delayed already so I can only assume this ending was rushed because I doubt EA would allow Bioware to delay the game anymore.

Honestly though, what irritates me the most is that there is no real final boss. At least Battlestar they had 'the colony' all through implemented as the last minute poorly.

Mass Effect you had Harbinger, Harbinger was made out to be the main antagonist. At one point in Mass Effect 3 Anderson (or Hackett) mention something that kind of hints that Harbringer is duh boss Reaper. But what do we see of Harbringer? He just shows up to laser you in the face and that's it. Then it just goes down hill from there with space ghost kid and space magic.

You know what I wanted? A hard but fun, epic and climatic battle and boss fight.

Here's how I would have done the ending, instead of taking a damn laser to the face. You make your way aboard the Citadel. Fight your way through Reaper and Cerberus infested halls. Cerberus and the Reaper forces fight side by side, indicating just how much control the Reapers have over the Illusive Man. Maybe you make your way into the chamber that creates the Keepers, maybe a mini boss or something cool like that. Would be fun, fucking Phantoms and Husks coming after you while being shot at by Centurions and Cannibals. That would be hard!

Finally get to the Illusive Man, dialogue remains the same, maybe him denying that he's under control. This sort of mirrors the whole sequence with Saren I guess, either convince him to kill himself or you fight him. He can mind control your squad mates so you find yourself being shot in the face by Garrus or something. Would be fun boss fight!

Defeat him, open the Citadel.

Talk to the stupid ghost boy, maybe here you can argue and finally reveals that the ghost boy is Harbinger trying to convince you to make stupid choices that benefit the Reapers. Harbinger comes, you fight the fucker in a humongous awesome epic boss fight.

There's no way Shepard and friends could take down a Reaper without help. So all those war assets you've been gathering? Yeah well now they're actually worth gathering since they didn't mean shit with the current ending. Perhaps if you saved the Rachni in the first game, they assist you by swarming one of Harbinger's leg and tearing it off. Maybe you'd get a Geth and Quarian fleet bombardment to take out some of Harbinger's weapons. Aria calls in her mercenary army that has suicidal Vorcha that do some heavy damage. Jack has those biotic kids, maybe she shows up and does some ridiculous biotic damage. Suddenly all that shit you've done in all the previous games suddenly mean something. They're all here helping you, how cool would that be?

I understand the constraints with a big game like this and having multiple endings. Some people demanded things like 16 unique endings and that's not what I'm asking. Just a boss fight and some variation of what kind of help you would get from all those war assets and people you've allied with over the last two games.

Then Bioware can dump you into the ending with ghost boy and space magic. I honestly don't need a happy ending, I had assumed from the beginning that Shepard was probably going to die or at least die in the canon ending.

Just have it so that those choices you made and connections you had actually mean something.

TL:DR - Needs an epic final boss fight, make the choices and war assets you gather actually mean something. Doesn't need to be a happy ending and can be the same damn bullshit. Just have a cool fight that utilizes the resources, connections and characters you have met in the previous game to have some importance.

I just skimmed that because I only have like 4 missions left.

Even if I end up hating the ending, I can't see me being too upset about it because I've gotten so many hours of enjoyment out of this series (like you, I've done every single sidequest and at least two playthroughs of each game). As long as the majority of the game is good, I can probably deal with a disappointing ending because I don't generally get as invested in games' storylines as most people do. It's not like Dragon Age 2, which was really disappointing to me because it was so much weaker than the first game on the whole.

Anyhow, did you romance anyone? I started my relationship with Garrus back up from ME2. I found it hilarious that he had to get porn from Joker to research human anatomy and sexual behavior because he wasn't sure if our two species could successfully bone down.

I romanced Garrus, he seemed like the logical and best option for female Shepard. All other romance options for her I've never liked, in the first game I didn't romance anyone on my final play through because I thought Liara was annoying and Kaiden was dumb.

Now I kind of wish I did romance Kaiden for the dramaz.

In Mass Effect 2 the options where also pretty lame, Kanye? Bah, no. Plus even if you did romance him he gets some chick knocked up. Thane? Bah! He's so lame, his I am a dark assassin character was a little boring I thought. Samara? Well she ain't down for sweet alien space sex and Mordin isn't an option :(

Plus all the awkwardness was pretty great.

Man though, everyone in 3 is trying to get in your pants. You got that news reporter, Traynor and Kaidan tried to get all emotional on me so I shut him down. Also you get the option to tell Liara you're more than just friends. Maybe on my Renegade replay I'll be a dick and fuck with all dem emotions.

I did have Traynor take a shower in my cabin, did you do? You should because it's hilarious.

My Shepard is creepy.

Also if you don't romance Garrus or Tali (broshep), the two of them hook up and I was told you can catch them making out at one point and it's hilarious. Gonna go YouTube that now.

I didn't romance anyone in ME1 either and I picked Garrus for pretty much the same reasons you listed (also, not gonna lie, the voice actor has a sexy voice). On my male renegade run in 2, I went with Tali because Ashley hated me for working with Cerberus and Samara, who would've been my first choice, wasn't down.

As for 3, I didn't even deal with that reporter. It's a renegade run so I just shot her down the first time I talked to her and Traynor hasn't hit on me for some reason (I bet it's because my character is black, fucking racist) - she just came up to my room for a chaste game of chess.

I don't get people who don't bother with relationship options in these kinds of games. I also don't get people who actually get invested in the romances and take them seriously. It's mainly just fun and funny because it's boiling down relationships to trying to figure out what you exactly need to say to get someone to sleep with you. Human relationships are pretty much this, though on a more complex level, if you look at it cynically. It was particularly fun in Dragon Age because they actually showed the sex scenes and they were hilariously cheesy and overly tender.

Traynor is only into the ladies so that's why she's not interested in your broshep. Apparently I missed it or maybe selected the wrong options because you can catch her flirting with the reporter at one point.

Also people have been comparing the reporter to Snooki and now I can't unsee it.

My main play through I just let Traynor be a retard in the shower and let her act out an Herbal Essence commercial while my Shep sat there like a creeper.

I reloaded the scene though to see what would happen if I did join her and like you said, it's hilarious. Especially because the animation is so awkward. It looked like two birds trying to peck each others eyes out.

I do agree that the people that take the romance side stories seriously need to take a step back. It's just a side story with extra fun dialogue. When I do multiple play threws I don't stay true to one of the NPCs. Usually try to romance the others to see what other bonus dialogue I will get.

I really wish I had romance Kaidan in the first one, I bet the drama would be hilarious. Oh well...maybe I'll do a replay of the first two or just YouTube the scenes if they exist.

^ When I first heard about Dragon Age, the way it was explained to me made it seem like nothing more than a middle ages-fantasy based dating sim. Then I played a little of it and went "OMG there's a plot! No way! "

I did play as a female, but I think Traynor didn't hit on me because I was already with Garrus.

What, no she totally tries to get in your pants. You can trigger the whole sequence when she comes to your room to play chess.

Thank you Best Buy gift card that I got from Best Buy's mistake when my brother ad I bought copies of the Dark Souls special edition and we only got the regular (which I have to play...)

Lmfao that sure was a crap ending. I first chose to destroy the reapers and the following scenes were so short and inexplicable (so, the Normandy crash lands somewhere lush and tropical and Joker, Garrus and Ashley step out and sort of look around? That's it?) that I thought I had either done something wrong or, I don't know, fell asleep or something. So, I reloaded and chose to control the reapers instead and the ending was pretty much exactly the same except that EDI stepped off the Normandy instead of Ashley. So what?

Edit: normally I would immediately start a new game to play through again as the opposite alignment, but I don't know if I feel like it now.

Ahahaha, y'know what the first thought that came to mind was? I thought, "Does the planet support dextro-amino species?" Otherwise Garrus is going to have to eat Tali.

I'm not as butt hurt now but I still wish there was a big kick ass boss fight. I guess that was what the most disappointing thing was. You just fight stupid minions, I wanted some big show down with The Illusive Man and Harbinger. Those final waves of Banshee were hard but after a few deaths I managed to do well and it's just not as satisfying killing minions. I was fully expecting some massive scripted boss that would be a 20-40 minute long fight but I guess I'm asking too much.

Oh well, Garrus will have to eat Tali.

Been playing Kid Icarus: Uprising since it was delivered yesterday. Sooo much fun. The default controls are absolutely absurd though. Luckily they let you change things pretty extensively as far as movement controls are concerned.
