I voted NO, even though I think BNO is actually a better album (and one of my favourite albums of all time). I really love NO, it was a positive surprise and I think it deserves at least a few votes. Also, I'm a person who prefers to look into the future rather than cling to the past and, as much as I loved MM, they are no longer around. M10M on the other hand are and so I'm just more interested in them right now. Maybe I'm giving Mana too much credit but I think he is still finding his feet with M10M and we can expect great things from them in the future.

I don't see it as clinging to the past.. I mean.. just thinking it's a better album doesn't mean that. Plus, M+M might not be gone forever, so it wouldn't really be clinging to the past.. in a way.

And for those who've said they voted for NO just because it deserved some votes and actually think BnS is a better album.. why sympathize with the other choice when you know you like one more than the other?

I also agree with Kazuo. I didn't vote on NO because it deserves votes. I voted on it because I like it a little better than Bara no Seidou, even though it's a good album as well. It was a difficult choice for me.

I'll have to say Bara no Seidou...

Hakai no Hate, Kyomu no Naka de no Yuugi and my favorite on the CD: Chikasui Myaku No Meiro...you just can't beat them..and Chikasui Myaku No Meiro holds a special place in my heart...that's when I decided I wanted to learn bass.

Even though, Moi dix Mois is my pride and joy right now. Malice Mizer will always reign supreme.

I've chosen Bara no Seidou. Since i first obtained the album I was in love, Mayonaka ni Kawashita Yakusoku, it was hauntingly beautiful.

There was a recent storm that went through Southern California, thunder and lightning...the works. I put Bara no Seidou into the CD player and sat by the window and just admired everything.

Here it at this time completely took my breath away, it was like hearing it for the first time again. It brought a tear to my eye, and when the introduction to Mayonaka ni Kawashita Yakusoku arrived i was in love once again. I was reminded of all the good times i've had during this record. It means so much to me...

The first MM song I listened to, on BnS...

Bara no Seidou; it includes many of my most favorite songs--ever. M10M has a great sound, but nothing can ever compare to the original Malice Mizer. M10M seems like a branch trying to bud from MM, still part of the greatness but not a complete replication of it.

For me it was no difficulty deciding. "Nocturnal Opera" all the way. "Bara no Seidou" was when I stopped supporting Malice Mizer because much as I liked their previous work and didn't want to abandon the band, I really disliked that style. I felt bad considering the circumstances, but how shallow to "support" a band whose music one doesn't like!

I disliked "Bara" so much that, suspecting Moi dix Mois would be more of the same thing, I didn't bother to check them out until a friend MADE me listen.

Not a popular opinion, I guess. But I might as well come out and tell the world that "Nocturnal Opera" got at least ONE vote because someone liked it a lot more.

This is Nonsense in my Opinion...you can´t compare a MdM with an MM Album. They are two different Concepts.

*agrees* Moi dix Mois is different from Malice Mizer....even though Mana created Moi dix Mois.

Strange poll... simply cause we can't compare this two albums. But if I have to choose, it will be Bara no Seido of course. For me Noctural Opera is very disappointing, except The Prophet lol (but only just). Don't forget that's only my opinion ^^.

It wasn't all that bad, but there seems to be something missing in the album...I still don't know what it is...

It was good the first few listens, but I feel neither Moi dix Mois release has good replay value. I definitely haven't listened to either in months. :\

I don't find this hard at all. Though I love Nocturnal Opera, there is no way it can beat Bara no Seidou. The opera touch on this incredible cd makes it just perfect.

I voted for Bara no Seidou mainly because not only was it my first MM cd, but I can listen to it endlessly without feeling bored of it. All the tracks are remarkably different, which makes them all interesting to me, both musically and lyrically (plus, being such a fan of Phantom of the Opera and listening to the similar musical styles, and I feel Klaha is suited for opera-ish music above any other style ^^)
