I have to say MySpace here. Simply because nearly everyone I know is like "OMG you NEED a MySpace!" I already have my own website, thank you very much, I don't need to have a "MySpace" too.

It makes me want to hit them over the head for joining an online site that's really just one huge popularity contest.

I had one but deleted it last year after two months of having it.

I'm not saying it's a breeding ground for future rape crimes but, if you gathered up all the perverts on myspace you could match the population of my home town.

Oh also about Gaia.
It's not that bad, you just have to stay the hell away from the following:
-Greedy n00bs
-Begging n00bs
-Creepy men who want to, "share pictures..." of what I wont say...
-BAD RP'S in which the only correctly spelled word is "glomp"
-I'm probably forgetting something, but that's off the top of my head

4-chan...oh my goodness. I would vote for it, but fear of Pr0n keeps me away from visiting it too much.

Youtube is only annoying when it comes to the comments.

I'd have to say 4chan. There's a lot of weird stuff over there, some good (very little, I'd say @___@), so that takes the cake on my list.

I'm a member of Gaia and I can't say I really like where it has gone the past few years. I joined in early '04 by a friend's recommendation and I liked it then, but it's been kind of going downhill since.

The fees might be a bit of a pain, but for selling it's still way cheaper than an auction house and gives you a bigger audience than putting an ad in the paper. And for buying it's more organized and has a better selection than antique/junk shops, Craigslist, or local garage sales. What's not to like?

I totally agree. I think eBay is a great resource for hard-to-find or out of print items. I've been on eBay for 8 years now, and in that time, I've only ever had 2 bad experiences. Thanks to eBay and PayPal, they were rectified almost immediately.

In my defense, though, I haven't used my lj in almost three years and I only use myspace to keep in touch with old friends/friends I don't see very often/to rant about how the people that live near me drive like complete arses. WHICH btw, someone almost ran into my car not five minutes ago. I was leaving work when this car decides to just pull out into my lane. ARGH. Did they not see my bright candy apple red car moving at a great speed?
