I voted for Gackt because he's been the most productive. The most diverse in musical style, the most dedicated, and probably the most active of the bunch. Moi dix Mois, I love, but Mana has yet to REALLY impress me with the band. NOCTURNAL OPERA was a great album, but not phenominal. It seems that Mana is breaking free of that same old style, but it just wasn't enough. Maybe next time around he'll change my mind.

Interesting outcome, I thought.

I chose Gackt, instantly, barely edging out SS's brief but intriguingly mighty stint.

The reason I chose Gackt was due to the high quality he continues to put out (and, indeed, I believe he's been getting better since day one), and he wide range of style.

Kozi could indeed soon overtake that spot. And maybe I shouldn't have voted until I heard NO (yeah yeah I know, shut up), but hey. That's how it goes.

I'm personally frustrated at EoD, simply because I haven't heard a darn thing, and therefore don't really understand how those of us who haven't been to an EoD live can claim such a liking to them. I'm patiently and expectantly waiting to be proved wrong. :)

And as for Klaha... well. Nevermind.

m10m is that consistent sort of goth-rock you just want a good solid half-hour of. Kinda like Beastie Boys records. :-* And this lack of variety, sadly, is what put them out of the running for me.

...I'm sure you all wanted to know all this. *roll eyes across floor, hope no one steps on them*

Közi all the way. He has everything.

Moi Dix Mois are wonderful, indeed. I never stop going goose-flesh from the epic, majestic sound of Mana's work. And Juka's voice, that is. But after I've heard songs like Promenade, LIFE GOES ON~with MELANCHOLY~, Honey Vanity, Incoherents, etc. I can't get them out of my mind. It makes me feel things nothing else does or ever will. So my vote goes for Közi.

Klaha's work was good, too, I must admit. I just loved Nostal Lab. For some reason, it was impressive to see him so changed and different than before. A new dimension of Klaha, nothing like Pride of Mind or Malice Mizer. Perhaps the true artistic side of Klaha.

Gackt is Gackt. You just have to say you like him. Everyone does, even ones who don't admit it. He's addictive.

As for Eve of Destiny... I like them. But I have some dislikes about them I will state at another time.

Never been and never will be into Schwarz Stein. I don't know, there is something in them that doesn't capture my ettention. Perhaps... overshadowed by Moi Dix Mois? Yeah, it could be put this way. Compared to DIX, it's nothing. The power of DIX, oh the power of DIX...

Well.. that's what I would have said too before hearing Nocturnal Opera ;)
You should hear it! It might change your opinion on M10M.

DIX love, man...

I'm not going to echo everyone else's thoughts. So only one word must be said. DIX!

Moi Dix Mois has Mana has the helm, so of course I'm in love with them. But Gackt's early solo work is quite fantastic too, and hopefully his upcoming work will be better than his recent flops. I don't like Schwarz Stein much, simply because their music is too techo-ish for me. I haven't heard enough of Eve of Destiny to judge. Kozi's solo work is alright. As for Klaha...no comment.
So my vote goes to..hmm...Gackt!

I voted Moi dix Mois.

At first I HATED them. Dix infernal REALLY let me down. I loathe that album, but I reluctantly purchased NOCTURNAL OPERA, and I was blown away. I just hope they continue to grow. GO MANA!

Gackt is my second favorite just in case anyone was curious.

Maybe I should give Gackt a better chance

I'm not a big fan of Gackt (meaning I haven't downloaded bunches and bunches of his songs,) nor do I dislike him either. But I must say that Birdcage and Illness Illusion are my favorites of what I've heard of him so far.

yes, I admit I liked illness illusion, even though I don't like gackt. I just don't like him. He isn't as attractive as everyone seems to think, and while he's got a great voice, there are better people out there. He's so over hyped and that's the main reason he annoys me. He's a prettyboy who has his face EVERYWHERE. I can't stand it ><
but... I think Moi DIx Mois. I like it best. Klaha is good, but pop is not very often my cup of tea. Only when I'm in a crappy mood, but Klaha isn't peppy enough so he doesn't get much play...except when I feel like listening to Stay in the rain.. such a pretty song...

Gacktgacktgackt! I'm just obsessed. His voice is just as beautiful as ever. His style may have changed a lot since the early Gackt days and especially since Malice Mizer (though that's a little different, since he didn't write most of the songs he sang in Malice Mizer), but his voice is just as beautiful as ever and I love his new songs just as much as his old.

*13 more days 'til Gackt's new single - Kimi ni Aitakute- comes out!*
