Thoughts on Kaya going major

^ Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like you're assuming that people always say what they mean and think what they say, especially when they're trying to gain popularity among a large group of people upon who they rely for revenue.

I'm not assuming anything, but I prefer to go by what the artist in question says, rather than people's interpretation of it, especially when they seem to have an axe to grind (that's a general observation BTW and not directed at anybody in particular). Maybe it will turn out one day that Kaya is lying, but so far his message has been very consistent and I see little reason to doubt it.

But my goodness (COMPLETELY not directed at Geisha, who just happened to be the last person who posted).
Is anyone else getting REALLY tired of the discussion that's going on right now?
Personally, I find it extremely annoying.

Yeah, I'm surprised at the level of controversy that Kaya's major debut seems to have sparked, but I also think it's refreshing that for once people aren't just cooing over how kawaii he is, but actually look at what he may be trying to say.

I see this all over though, in every group that's not "accepted". They want harmony, to be accepted...but because they're the underdog they go crazy on pride. Not just gay pride... race pride, feminist pride, religious pride. You want to belong, but you also need to keep your identity so you start looking at everyone outside your group as an "other". It's really easy to cross that line between equality and supremacy.

It is very hypocritical, but not terribly strange.

It kinda makes me sad that Kaya feels this way though.

I don't think he does though. Like Neovirtu said, this is his interpretation of how Kaya feels, and personally I think he's projecting his own feelings on to Kaya too much.

If it's because of teh original Dio, I think it's more likely that the spelled "Duo" wrong than that they're referencing anyone else...

But well, naming your band after a heavy metal legend is kind of..risky. I am surprised Dio never made a problem out of this.

I don't think it is a case of poor English. It would be really strange if not any member of that band has heard of Dio.

Anyway. I think it's funny that they called themselves Dio because everytime I see their name I get images like these in my head:

and this live album cover (which I actually own - on vinyl) which, if you can't tell from the picture, depicts Ronnie James Dio slaying a giant rubber dragon on stage.

OMG!!!! I saw at a swedish site that Chocolat will be released in Sweden =S.. Will it sell international???? It was realy expencive thou.. More than dubble of the original price.. Well My copy is already orderd from cdjapan.. Major things can do so much.. =P. I wonder if the prist press will go international too. I'm so exided.. Hopefully Kaya will go on a international tour toooooooo =D... WWEEEIIIII!!!!!!
