well, all of you maybe doesn't know it:

The mystical voice in shadows temple...
The voice actor calls himself † Shadow X †
this song is the only he is with inthis far.
Does anone know anything about this mysterious person?
There is no pictures of him, so don't try to google,picsearch or something like that, you'll only waste time for nothing.
I got an unofficial website for more weird info about co-workers with † Moi Dix Mois †.
But i don't have the guts to say it. Becouse it's so bad layout xD

There has never been official confirmation that Shadow X was Mana, but it's pretty obvious.

Shadows X also appears on Nocturnal Opera and is technically featured in the Shadows Temple booklet... or rather, Mana appears twice. ;] We take it as a given that it was Mana's alter-ego of sorts.

Mana did some of the death voice/whispery sort of stuff in Malice Mizer, and the "death voice" in Moi dix Mois was the same. Also, Shadow X was not present for Dix Infernal, but the voice on tracks like tentation (Mana, as compared to his whispering in Sakai no chi to bara)was the same voice attributed to Shadow X on Nocturnal Opera on tracks like Shadows Temple and monophobia.

I am curious, however, on whether Mana will still do some vocals for the new songs or K is gouig to take over completely. Guess we'll find out in a week and a half.

And there was that one thing on the scars of sabbath (I THINK) dvd with all the portraits and there was one cut off that looked like it was mana with his hair as it was in the background of the pic Navate posted.

This made me laugh. I'm really glad all the songs will have the karaoke tracks. And I hope Seth is good...but I'm not going to get my hopes up. If he's really bad, we can hold a Scape singing contest with the karaoke tracks!

Someone could actually post some reviews about the album when it comes out. It would be nice to read some comments about it. I cant myself buy the album straight away from here but i'll get it as soon as it arrives to my local store.

Shadow X was introduced in the Shadows Temple single in May 2004. K did not join the band until November 2004. So, no, he couldn't be. That's ignoring the fact that K's death vocals sound nothing like the voice credited to Shadows X on Shadows Temple and Nocturnal Opera... the voice is, however, identical to the voice in tentation (March 2003) and the live vocals Mana did during the Malice Mizer Bara no Seido concert for Sakai no chi to bara. And that K does not appear in the ST booklet, but Mana does twice.

However... this really boils down to the notion that some people think it's obvious it's Mana, and some don't. We'll likely never know for sure, so there's not much point bickering over it since it'll just be a circle of "I'm right," "No, I'm right."

they could be different, I haven't heared MdM lately too much... not otherthan Dix Infernal... but for the other matter.. it has nothign to do... Klaha wasn't MM's official vocalist when he recorded...

Sorry about that, i did my account in a hurry. Anyway another moderator already informed me about this and i changed it.

Shadow X must have been Mana, although i dont know why he used such a name. He could've just said that it was him. Maybe Mana didnt want either "sing in public" and wanted to keep that vocal recording as a secret.

Well, seeing as Mana is capable of keeping secrets rather well (Vocalists, personal information, his freaking REAL name) and seems to have a lot of control over what he releases to the public... don't you think he would've done a better job of keeping the fact Shadow X was himself a bit less obvious?

Or maybe he wanted to make it obvious...

Yes, i understand your point. At least we can recognize Mana by his mysterious way but still when most people are almost certain that it is Mana, he could just admit it. Maybe he doesnt care though, it wouldnt actually change anything. Oh, enough speculating, i dont see my point either well enough anymore

I think Shadow X was a joke. a complete joke. I think it was mana, but the whole "shadow X" thing stopped after a while. I think Mana was trying to see if anyone would get it was him even if he made it really obvious. He probably still laughs every now and then that people dabate over it still .

Personally, I would love to hear Mana do more Shadow X-esque vocals on future MdM works. I think it would add a more metal edge to the band, not saying that the feel they have now is bad, I'm just saying it would add another layer to the tasty cake of goodness.
