Unfortunately that seems to be quite common these days. That said, I think this is one of the better designs for Moitie dresses (although it is a simple design). It's from this season as far as I'm aware.

It looks great to me but I say it's not very characteristic of the brand because if you really look, everything has the Moi-Même-Moitié emblem, or the prints and the characteristic phrase/slogan in it. This one looks a bit fresher, clean, so clean it hardly looks like moitié (keep goth even in summer with the black option), however, I'm not saying I dislike it, it brings a delicacy, and is great raw, with nothing, like the photo Atelier Pierrot posted.... But it itself, is not very striking as the... Well... The graveyard print aka "bed sheet ghost" lmao.

I will say I don't much like the dress itself, especially when I first saw it un-styled and all, they styled it very nicely though to where it looks pretty on the models. Still, probably won't be buying it. Im not a big fan of all over prints or anything busy in design, especially when it comes to a print.

I've recently been turned on to the potential of layering transparencies. Can the measurements here possibly be right though? 38-inch and 40-inch waists? That would be on the big side even for Westerners wearing it as a second layer.
Moitié's measurements tend to be pretty accurate most of the time. They are trying to make items that fit more people. Since the blouse is not fitted, that waist measurement is also a hip measurement.

It does look pretty when worn under other pieces. It's nice that Moitié is using sheer materials for some of the blouses. It's a refreshing change from traditional cotton lolita blouses.

Ah yes, you're right, if you look at the black version you can see through to the mannequin underneath and then it's obvious what's going on.

traditional cotton
Mmmwell, don't get me onto that again... but yes XD

Recently I saw some girls' outfits incorporating translucent or lace overlays that actually looked pretty good.
And over on the men's side I had been considering this remarkable item:

I think it's still in the "can't justify" department though, if for no other reason than it's not clear what's best to wear under it. Certainly not a tank top like in the ridiculous stock photo.

So you know, maybe overlays are having their moment.

Interesting jacket. I think a nice dress shirt in a jewel tone color or white would work with that. Or even a grey, brown or beige color. Black shirt is possible, but then it defeats the purpose of the cut-out parts of the jacket.

I guess it depends on just how transparent the see-through parts are, I wonder if you'd want to go all the way to a bright color if not a white.
At any rate, if they come down below... let's say "X" on the price, where X is my arbitrary valuation of this concept, maybe I'll revisit the idea.

Now here's a question for Moitie Appreciators.
Buying the clothes is one thing, but has anyone ever seen a hanger for sale? I found a picture of one here:
https://jrocknews.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/moi-meme-moitie-8a.jpg
(as well as that same print we were discussing above, I guess it's been around for some time)
It would be a feather in one's cap to have such a thing, but I think typically you can't get your hands on that stuff unless a store closes, and Moitie never had that many stores.
I like orange/purple coral hangers but even if you ask they won't just sell you one. Same deal with Moitie, undoubtedly.

Before Mana sold Moitié, he was clearing things out, like the Bat Bag samples (It's when I got mine). I remember them selling hangers at Moitié's online shop around that time. They were also offered as omake in the past, one of the many gifts when spending over a certain amount https://lolibrary.org/items/moitie-moitie-original-hanger

No idea if they would go for making them again to sell in the future, but who knows. Online resell sites are best bet to try to find the old ones.

That photo from JRock News is of KERA Shop btw

Oh yeahhhh, I remember this now. There was simply no practical way to collect a bunch of them, even if you were the type of customer who regularly spent at the requisite level.
Doesn't seem like anyone is selling them secondhand, not that it's a surprise considering what you had to go through to get even one.

Anyway, someone who is not me got ten corals for only $12 apiece and now I'm aghast at my own lackadaisical negligence XD

I remember seeing a bulk lot of them going for pretty cheap yonks ago, toyed with the idea of getting them but I was loathe to change from my wooden hangers.

Anyway, the Fall Cross monk robe, which was one of my favourite moitie pieces, is/has made a comeback, but they goofed up the print compared to the original.

Recently, not so recently, Moi Meme Moitié launched what appears to be a new line called Elegant Gothic Circus. I couldn't hate more the name that brings the Közi-Merveilles vibe, but blue. I've bought a few copies, which are about to arrive, and I'd like to know if anyone here has bought anything from this line.
