It's a little surprising to me that Kamijo's the vocalist and it's his solo project, but his vocals weren't even in the preview ::shifty::
I think it's hilarious people acctually are discussing which kind of vocals (Lareine or Versailles) they think he'll have :P
Must say the cdjapan first press bonuses are tempting ::squee::

Hahahaha Mana looks pretty cool~ I'm not sure about this song though... I feel like Kamijo isn't putting much power into his voice in this and the music is ok, but it seems pretty unfocused so far~ I think I'll have to hear the whole track d(^___^)

(It could also be I've been listening to Blind Guardian all week and Kamijo just sounds kind of weak in comparison to Hansi Kürsch. To be fair, they have very different singing styles...)

Ha! I've been listeing to Luca Turilli's new stuff with Alessandro Conti and understand exactly what you mean. Kamijo and Zin just don't have the POWAH!

But I am expecting Kamijo's solo material to not be as metal as Versailles and probably go back to his roots doing more softer rock stuff that he excelled at. So I'd be totally happy with that and honestly would prefer that instead of Kamijo forcing himself to sound like a Power Metal vocalist.

I didn't like Kamijo's performance in Versailles since he's not a real power metal vocalist but I still think he's a good singer. So in a project that he has more creative control I think he'll sound great in an environment that will really work and compliment his singing style. Plus I like Mana and the material Mana composes so I bet this will be a cool release regardless.

LOL I love Mana's first walk-on in there XD
::mana:: "Just passin' through, don't mind me"

Disappointed with the music in this new sample though. Sounds like... some anime song but I can't put my finger on exactly what.

That's his thing in every video!
My favorite parts in the video were the voice overs. ::k:: I wonder if they got that awesome homeless guy that went viral a few years back. The master is back! Really, Kamijo?

The new sample reminded me a lot of Lareine pre-Never Cage. I liked it.

Stop saying the new song sounds something remotely similar to Lareine and getting my hopes up! xDDD

Looks like new crappy Versailles has Zin ::hora:: , while new KAMIJO's solo work has Mana, beat that HIZAKI!

That's because both Kamijo and Hizaki secretly wish they were Luca Turilli.

@LEM - Yes!! Exactly!! I've always had a hard time calling Versailles/Hizaki Grace Project/Matenrou Opera "heavy metal" because the vocalists just don't have the metal voices... To me they're just VK~ (And Alessandro Conti is absolutely mind blowing!!! I love his work in Trick or Treat! I first heard him when "Tin Soldiers" came out and I thought he sounded like Michael Kiske! I especially like their track "Like Donald Duck" from their first album, which you absolutely have to hear if you haven't already!)

I am a huge fan of Alessandro Conti !!! His performance for "Luna" from Alessandro Safina in the latest Luca's album is just amazing!

btw, as far as we can hear in the preview, I like it :) , glad it didn't sound like Hizaki's music. (Just heard the preview of the pv from Jupiter and the music is the same as Versailles did but with an horrible voice).

Can someone translate this? http://www.barks.jp/news/?id=1000092291&ref=rss

According to that article (as far I can understand using google translator LOL), Mana is famous again? xD (and the teacher of Kamijo as well).

Here is another article http://www.oricon.co.jp/news/music/2026623/full/

Well I am really happy about all this (Because I read MALICE MIZER everywhere now :) ), I had lost all desire to continue to support these artists, but not now xD

What make me laugh is the fact for a lot of Japaneses, Mana appeared after 12 years! despite he was in his solo work between 2002 to 2013 hahahha

The Barks article is kinda funny so here goes.

--------

The leaders of Versailles and Malice Mizer miraculously appearing together

In the solo debut single of Versailles leader and vocalist Kamijo, "Louis ~enketsu la vie en rose~", the appearance of Kamijo's former teacher Malice Mizer leader Mana-sama, currently of Moi dix Mois, has become a hot topic on the internet.

Yesterday, Mana suddenly appeared in the newly released preview video that Kamijo put on Youtube, and there was a flood of comments from fans all over the world who had seen it.

As the storm of surprised and glad comments about this miraculous joint appearance increased, it instantly became #1 in Twitter's Japan video trend ranking, and the news was spread around the world in the blink of an eye.

This is Mana's first appearance in a formal music video by another artist since Malice Mizer stopped activities. His overwhelming beauty is alive and well.

Kamijo is active on a global scale, touring the world since the early days of Versailles, and playing a concert at a castle in France. In 2011, at top overseas mail order shop CD Japan, Versailles captured the #1 spot on the year's ranking.

Fans all over the world are looking forward to Kamijo's activities, with this release holding a monopoly on spots 1 though 3 in orders, even though it is over a month before release.

This is a release which realizes the miraculous appearance of these 2 charismatic people, who have always reigned absolutely as "tanbi-ha" (aesthetes), even in the visual genre which is spreading across the world. With the forbidden video which illustrates the "awakening to aesthetics," Kamijo's 8/28 solo debut will reveal the full story.

----------

I think tanbi-ha is a relatively recent name for the gorgeous movement in VK. I didn't start hearing it until Versailles, Kaya, and Juka did the Tanbi Kakumei tour in 2007, and it seems to have caught on as a name for the "beauty and roses" type of artists.

I'm really happy with the clip. This is my favorite side of Kamijo and for the past 6 years I've missed it. It's not that I don't like Versailles, but his melodic slightly cheesy pop side is my true love. Oh, also I'm glad to see that the single is getting a lot of preorders.

Thank you very much for translating!

How you can associate Louis XVII with "la vie en rose" I wonder, but then I'm unfortunately not Japanese, ahahahah!
