I was wondering if there were any fans here. He's a new artist from Australia that will be releasing his first album in december under the Japanese label Cure. His music is described as "baroque fused with electro/industrial sound"

Kiwamu (BLOOD) recently join the guitarist. GPK also did a remix for one of Blood songs in their latest album.

I listened to a few of the sample tracks there a long time ago and it seemed okay. He's just like an australian Kaya, though- the only difference is that he's singing in english and may or may not like male strippers. XD

He also reminded me of Kaya as well. Tainted Reality recently affiliated with him (because of Kiwamu) and played a few of his songs. I think he's a wonderful artist, not to mention a really nice and kind guy if anyone's ever talked to him on myspace.

Judging solely off the samples on the site, the musical ideas stay interesting for precisely 30 seconds and then dip off harshly after that. I get no sense of melody or direction in the compositions. I've also never gotten Blood's appeal, so it's sort of like a double-whammy.

Still, if this alliance brings anything positive out of foreign dabbling in VKesque stuff or the future stuff is good, then more power to 'em, I guess.

I've enjoyed everything I've heard! I'm also happy that Kiwamu has joined as the guitarist, as I am a huge fan of him and BLOOD

He is really nice.

:/ kind of overly-nice in a creepy way.

"hello my dear friend" after only talking to him like twice, etc...
::erm::

I think that GPKISM is going places. I rather enjoyed the samples, especially the song 'Sublimis', and reading that jmusic ignited interview made me like it all even more. I really liked this part:

"Do you think the gothic/dark scene has become static and formulaic?

Most gothic/dark music is usually associated with violence, death and destruction. The essence of beauty is lost. What GPK is set out to do is completely different, by introducing baroque/classical elements into electro/industrial music."

^^I'm considering buying the CD when it comes out....hmmm, it's only limited to 666 copies though.

Also, I honestly don't think he is a 'Kaya wannabe'.

I get worried about these limited things.

I'm gonna send the money on Wednesday, I hope it's still available.

The release will be a little complicated, but very similar to Hora's method. If you would like to learn more, read here, GPK approved fan site xD
