Phantom of the Opera and Le Miserable are my favorites. Though I havn't seen the musical Carrie (based on Stephen King's novel) which holds the record for the shortest lived musical on Broadway, hehe. But Phantom of the Opera is my absolute favorite (nobody can beat Micheal Crawford on vocals.)

the only musicals i've ever been to were Annie and The Lion King... out of those two... i LOOOOOVE the Lion King! *__* the costumes were just... BREATH TAKING.... and i love the masks that mufasa, scar and simba had <3 <3

A lot of people love musicals, myself being one, and there isn't a poll on this so I thought "Why not?"

Anyway, basically, what is your favourite musical (film or stage) and why?

Mine is the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I first watched it when I was 3 years old and have loved it ever since. If anything has brought me up to be strange it's that. It also has some very catchy songs in it and Tim Curry is great in it. It is also a very good stageshow, which is the only musical I've seen which encourages as much audience participation as it did. We all stood up and did the Time Warp and it was all fun. It's one of the less serious musicals, acting more like a panto than a musical, which is why I love it ^^

My most favourite is "Tanz der Vampire" (dance of the vampires <- right translation? it sounds so not good in english ) a german one and I love it to death ^^;. Others are Phantom of the Opera and another german one, "Ludwig II" .
