^ I actually assumed the same, lol. I'm gld for Den that he's sober now :) the only guy who looks a little aged is Tetsu, the other guys look as fresh as they were in 2002, lol

Thanks for the translation, WF!
I cannot imagine Sakura being drunk as hell, btw, hahahaha

The blog said they were "dead drunk" so I picture them all sprawled across the floor and fumbling around, I wish Den had posted pictures~ it looks like it was a great show though! I'm surprised they played such a long set though! And I'm curious to hear the new song!!

Considering Tetsu is the youngest of the bunch, he has aged the most I think. I don't really care about looks much since I'm just a fan of the music but it's a shame when smoking and drink get the better of people and it has a noticeable affect. I do stand by my opinions that it has roughened his voice over the years. I guess I'm being selfish and just want him to be able sing like he did in Zigzo circa '99 again! haha

And here's a pic of Tetsu and Ryo looking drunk:

Nothing really insightful but Tetsu mentions 'Malice Mizer' in this transcript from a radio show he and Sakura does with Tatsurou of Mucc yesterday. It mostly talks about the Zigzo reunion.

I think Tatsurou mentions how he used to listen to those two and see them in magazines and on TV to which Tetsu responds: "Those days? As in, the Malice Mizer days?" Here's the excerpt:

逹瑯:あ~!覚えてますよ、櫻さんと仕事させてもらって、めっちゃ嬉しかったですからね、あの当時ホントに。
やっぱり聴いてたし、なんだろう、、、もう雑誌とかテレビで見る人だったんで。

櫻:あ~。

哲:あの時代?マリスミゼル時代の話?(笑)

逹瑯:そうですね(笑)

一同笑い

@#$%^&*( is the only thing I can say to recent updates on the website:

-Live Audio Recordings of each show will be available on their website
(http://zigzo.net/teaser/) Unknown distribution method as of now.

-A DVD of their reunion gig from March will be on sale during the tour

-The secret live from Sakura's November Birthday Party Gig is also being edited for DVD.

-The new song 'Decade' will start airing on the radio May 18th.

They make it a point to say it's a first of a kind for Japan, releasing live albums of each of their shows, that is. I'm surprised more Japanese bands don't do this sort of thing like Western bands have been doing for years. Do they think it diminishes the live experience knowing you can get a recording for it easily? I don't think so but I don't really know any Japanese band that does this.

In this day and age when the actual album/single has become the money-loser and the concert/merchandise has become the money maker, it only makes sense that they are doing this. I know for sure that I'll be happily handing over my money to get my grubby hands on every show!

And reading between the lines, if they recorded Decade maybe they are recording other new songs? Or maybe they just recorded this one song inbetween rehearsals.

Many thanks, cardy!

Even if watching a DVD can never be the same as being there in person, it's a fine enough substitute. And when you have quite a lot of foreign fans, it's also nice and clever to release live DVDs. I certainly will buy them if I can! And I'm very much hoping for a new album or even a mini-album!

Hirasawa has been making a habit of releasing a DVD for each of his live-only shows since about 2007, so it's not entirely unprecedented. He pretty much runs his own business though so he has more latitude to do whatever he feels like than a major-label artist.

Just to clarify since my phrasing could be misinterpreted, they are only intending on releasing audio bootlegs of their upcoming 2nd Scene Tour not DVDs.

I wonder if Zigzo has alot of foreign fans though? I think most people know it because of Sakura's past L'Arc association and then maybe for Tetsu's past MM one. And even then Zigzo is more straight-up rock compared to those two acts.

And I didn't know that about Hirasawa. Glad to see some musician over there taking advantage of the online world and made-to-order capabilities it has to offer!

There's still going to be video DVDs of the March reunion live but as of now it'll only be available for purchase at the shows. The secret live from November is still being edited and presumably will be a DVD release as well.

It's just the upcoming tour will be available in audio format only.

Here's the exact text:

 Den's expression in the first picture is priceless!

I'm really curious about how DECADE sounds. I'd like to hear it the next time it hits the radio. At least a preview or something </3

Oh wow that top picture is amazing! Tetsu is looking pretty awesome! I think this kind of appearance suits him a lot more than VK would have

"Decade" is ok, but nothing extraordinary.

I love the acoustic versions A LOT, Tetsu's voice live is really full of emotions, and the songs sound very different and even better than the studio/regular live versions.

Sakura seems so bored and frustrated on the picture, having absolutely nothing to do... ::hora::

Yes, I agree.
I heard the song today and I'm a bit underwhelmed. Nothing really jumps out at me at all. It's very happy-go-lucky track and great in that it's helping them work together again. But they did write and record this song fairly quickly so I can tell they were just excited to just put something new together very quickly.

Howeverrrrrr, the acoustic versions are great, warau tsuki is one of my favorites off of add9, with it's infectious semi-tongue twisting chorus, and this version is just butter.

The little acoustic flourishes in both songs provided by Ryo, I'm guessing, give these songs a different character.

and np, Mademoiselle~
