You don't think what?

This will be friggin' AWESOME. I can't imagine how the music between the two of them will turn out, but I imagine it will be awesome! I hope Yoshiki gets back behind the drums! The both of them playing piano at the same time.. that would be amazing.

Or a Gackt/Yoshiki piano/drum solo...O__O *explodes*

This has the potential to be really kickass.

Sounds almost too good to be true. One of the most talented drummers in Asia who is also a master composer and pianist that also happens to be a record label CEO decides to team up with a pop media icon? Whats next, Gackt decides Visual Kei is actually better than Pop and digs out his Mizerable costume?

Nooo!! Not then when I fell in love with Gackt's solo music! ;__;

But still...I'm curious. ::meev::

I dunno, I don't remember any good Yoshiki composition or drum playing after X... all he haves are weird projects that never see light.
About teaming up with a pop media icon, I think he was producing teenage idols from asia or something (a girl named dahlia or something XD), and those Trax kids, so it wouldn't surprise me much.

did you see his diabolos concert?? It has a lot of theatrical and visual elements.... ::hora:: i find his concerts to have a lot of dramatic things (not just diabolos one). He may not use heavy make up , but he still has visual aspects on his performance, imo. People like to call Gackt J-pop , and Yoshiki? ::meev:: His post X projects are not rocky at all. :|

I never understood why people settle on calling Gackt j-pop. None of his albums are all poppy. In fact, there's only usually two or three poppy songs per album. MOON, CRESCENT and DIABOLOS were all rock dominated.

Well I hope he does. ;)

I was so suprised when I heard this...I don't know what to think. They are seriously two of the most talented musicians. I can't imagine what they'll come up with- maybe something like Crucify my Love? Only better, because Gackt's vocals > Toshis.
I hope Yoshiki gets out his mad drumming skillz again. ^^

Yeah, I saw the Diabolos concert. I pretty much had to after everyone was going on about it over and over. I agree with the idea that he still has that Visual Kei "mindset" but he's gone with a more media friendly pop image (Visu-pop!) Its sort of hard not to call Gackt J-Pop seeing how almost every website and store I see seems to list him as such, except CD-Japan/NeoWing which seems to place him, Közi, and everything Dir en grey in the VK section of their website. He's sort of straddling the line between rock and pop.

Yoshiki's post-X activities I find to be rather good, mind you he built them on the ashes of X by making stuff such as Eternal Melody II (I came out during X's time didn't it?). He did Foreign Sand with... Roger Waters? I'm blanking on that one sadly, and he did produce THE TRAX as well as do some nice work with globe and Violet U.K. I believe he was also the one who wrote the actually good songs on Dir en grey's GAUZE. Yoshiki's transition is actually sorta similar to Gackt's in a way, well, kinda. I think Art of Life is a good enough standard to show that he can compose something amazing.

Er... What? An interview automatically makes anything true? I'm getting a bit confused here.

Yeah, I'd love to hear something like Crucify my Love or Say Anything again. The idea itself is just wonderful, but I don't think we'll ever see Yoshiki drumming again (Didn't he say he quit drumming forever after hide died?) In my little head I keep imagining songs like Art of Life and Tears done with Gackt.
