alot of things would be nice......

Mana ... does what he wants to do. : D and that's... it really.

it's your choice, if you want to like it or not. Mana i doubt is trying to cater to the masses, but rather create his own world with his music and imagery and if you don't particularly like that world... then your free to leave.

beyond the gate....... XD

^But MK that's the thing...

What Miz is saying (a view that I also share in many respects) is that;
"we like the music"
No question about that it's just that Mana keeps on making heavy harpsichord laden "metal" songs followed by a M10M standard ballad or two.

There's variation between the two but OUTSIDE of those two there's little experimentation.

To give an example lets look to the days of Gackt in MM.
In that repotorie you ahd a few variants of songs, not just two as Mana is showing now.

Bel air -> Brise -> Le Ciel - > Syunikiss etc

They had more variation as songs not because of the songs themselves were better as such, but because there was more styles being explored both in the songs and across songs.

Yes, I'm aware this is HIS project but I'm sure the man can write more than just one dimensional switch(for the sake of monotony)songs.

[but when Mana tried something different with Beyond the Gate lots of fan were like "blahh what's that bad music ect...."
so maybe seeing that people were not enjoying Beyond the Gate he decided to return to a more Dix infernal music style.. but we can't really tell now because noone heard the whole album...

To give an example lets look to the days of Gackt in MM.

look at who wrote those songs!
bel air: Mana
brise: Kozi
Le ciel : Gackt
Syunikiss : Yuki...

so I'm sorry for you that Mana can't be 4 personne in one -_-"

Uhm..but the thing is that there is enough variation in each song of Mdm. In my opinion, of course. Maybe I'm blinded because Moi dix Mois' music is just what I like, but I don't think it can be defined as "Black Metal-Ballad-...".

In each song of Moi dix Mois there are mixtures of different genres, you can't really assign a genre to them. That's enough variation for me. Organs, harpsichords, guitars, drums, bass, piano...all in one and sounding so harmonious together...I don't see much bands with these characteristics. So, for me it isn't monotonous. It is what I like and I enjoy it. You cannot expect a band to have everything, thats why people normally listen to more than 1 band. But, of course, that's just my opinion.

I mean something like, instead of "Black metal! Ballad! Black metal! Ballad!"
First: Be careful what you call it. Moi dix Mois definitely isn't black metal.
Second: So what do you consider La Dix Croix, Monophobia, Perish, etc. to be? Moi dix Mois isn't that two-dimensional.

I think M10M have more variety in their body of work and push their boundaries more than most other bands, yet at the same time they always sound like M10M. I don't think that's a bad thing though, to me it just means that they have a strong identity. Even MM (whose wide variety of different styles I see more as the exception than the rule) had their twin guitars.

First: Add some long hair and some non-synthed screaming. What happens? Black metal! There are lots of symphonic black metal bands. The most popular ones being Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Burger. There's also always Anorexia Nervosa, And Oceans, Tvangeste (I think that's the spelling..), and tons of others. Not all black metal is a bunch of grinding and satanic yelling. Plus, the very reason I first liked Mana some few years ago was because his music smacked of black metal.

Second: Sure, those songs have their own legs, but they're wearing the same pantyhose. :|

I can't believe the track list hasn't been released yet... only 12 days until it comes out.

OSTRITCH. HAHAHA. And "Midnightural" totally sounds like a word Mana might use. "Into the Forest" needs an accompanying low budget indie PV with cars driving by in the background.

This just made up for the retardedness of the last bajillion pages.
