Hey everyone.

Thoughts of CD release are flying around at the moment, and I thought it may be a good idea to make a poll in order to see if there is enough interest to make it a worthwhile decision.

Please vote honestly. I plan to use this as a partial guideline!

Thank you

EDIT AGAIN : After some thought and reading over comments from various people, I'm thinking instead of a single, a mini-album would be a better option. A common com-- (I don't think I can really call it a complaint XD) is that people want more. They want more material and a mini-album would give them exactly that.

I certainly would. You've got some of the best electronic compositions I've heard in awhile. :D

Yes, but I would be more inclined to purchase a full album than a demo or promotional release, though I still would be interested in supporting your music all that I can, and would do so.

EDIT: For possible confusion from the wording of the post.

Yes, I would. I've really digged what I've heard so far and would love to support Zealous' music. :)

I probably would. My stockpile of funds cries no, but I never listen anyway :P And I do like your stuff.

Thank you for the comments! It's awesome that some of you would be willing to support me in this way.

I have edited my first post after recent thoughts about turning the potential single into a mini-album. I think people would find this more appealing. I mean, I myself would if I was checking out a new artist!

Thank you again for the support, it's much appreciated as always.

I honestly haven't been keeping up with Zealous Veil since the first time you posted about the band, so... I'm not sure. What I heard was a bit iffy to my liking, but still interesting. I don't want to come off as rude, but as of now I would not buy one. I'll try to give a listen to some of the other work you've got done to see if my mind changes or not.

skazafraz : Zealous Veil is my solo project.

Arison : I'll send you links sometime soon to newer songs, and you can see what you think!

Actually, I'll post them in the Zealous Veil downloads thread again, so anyone interested can have a listen. Be sure to check that thread for updates.

For now, check out www.myspace.com/zealousveil to hear the song 'breathless'.

I've listened to both Signal Complex and Breathless. I've skipped the samples as I don't like listening to samples. I do like the two songs I've heard, but I highly doubt I would ever buy a CD online or anything like that.

That is to say, if you were to release an album solely on the internet available for download I would definately do get that. I've done similar things for the past five years. I've sold my CD on cafepress, i've given them out at a plethora of CD shops (and at school), I've advertised on p2p programs, and lastly i've uploaded my newest project's discography onto my website so people can get the whole thing if they want. I even had my songs played on college radio.

Now, which was most successful? The least successful was "buying the CD" . . .Then again most of my stuff isn't a formulaic as (its more experimental and/or noise) Zealous Veil...but that's not the point (or is it?)

I was able to get my name out there better by giving away my music for free. Mind you, this is all a suggestion. Please don't get mad at me :( But you should start out small, and then work your way up to CDs.
