My sister just named her baby girl Rhiley.

She's kinda white trash.

A coworker years ago told me that his brother was trying to have a child but his wife was thought to be barren, but after years of trying they finally concieved and decided to celebrate by naming the daughter Desert Rose... They would say she was the flower blooming in the barren desert...

If I were her I'd just say I was named after the song by Sting and legally change my name as soon as possible.

You're so mean! ::kisaki::
I donno, I guess I like it because the story is sweet and meaningful. I wouldn't name my own daughter that, but I can see why they named her Desert Rose, aw~

@Iska: You know what's really bad? Naming your daughter "Michael."
... *shivers*

Yeah, my friend's brother named his son Bentley ::foot::

If I didn't know the context of that name, I think I would actually like it. But I do know.

My sister is going to make me an uncle here in a few months. It's a girl, so they're going with Cora.

Should've done like Mana and named him "Aston Martin" instead ::meev::

I'll name my son Samuel and my daughter Samantha so they're both nicknamed SAM and if either of them isn't cis, they can switch names when they grow up and keep the nickname!

BRILLIANT. :cool:
