What was the sense of restarting the thread? XD It's not like the random and listening thread where its like.. just pointless and for post count.

Me and a few friends talked with a Japanese staff member who spoke basic english after the show and asked for our feedback. We told him how proud we were that they did so well and all that and the guy said that they plan to come back soon, so whoever missed them this time around can catch them when they come back!

cool! thats exciting! jenna and i apparently went the wrong way after we got out coats back and we ended back inside the hall and the security guard we needed to find wasn't there, so another guy walked us around backstage...but alas, nothing significant happened.

IN REGARDS TO Die en Grey in NYC CONCERT:

I was there, it was freaking awesome! I really felt bad for the person who bought a fake ticket from that black dude that was selling the ticket, she started crying.... I also like the gift box there, someone gave the band a picture of kyo in a frame, wtf?! lol..

Great freaking show, it was awesome how kyo dumped the water on his head at the end, it was cool how he kept scratching himself violently and ripping his mouth and stuff. ^_______^

I was a little ticked that they didnt play zan or ash, but who cares it was a pro time!

And lol @ that guy that looked like bill gates and he was forcing everyone 10 steps backwards. Stupid , its a mosh pit let us have fun eh?

That guy that said he was like howard stern or something like that was funny, fucking japanese signs ^____^.

AND omg that freaking opening band! They KICKED ASS! I wanna buy some of their cd's, whats the name of the opening band?

OK well thats my review ima post this on other forums and shit!

P.S: my ears still hurt from that massive DIR EN GREY! chant, everyone had squeky mouse voices lol.

I think all hugely long threads are kind of pointless since no one is going to read back past the last 10 pages or so. I'll leave the old one around in case anyone really wants to read it... but yeah, I've been wanting to do this for a while.
Also you'll notice that by leaving it around, people still get postcount credit for posting there ;)

Gotcha.

@Bloodclot: The Free Will guy was extending a request from the band. They did it for the well being of the people in the front who could have gotten hurt badly. People can get hurt very badly at concerts, and it's not fun.

It really irritates me when people don't understand why bands want people to have fun and not get hurt. You go to a concert to see a band, not punch people in the face. If people can't conduct themselves in a respectful, non-violent manner, they shouldn't be at the concert and should grow up real quick.

I don't think he was annoying at all. The reason he was getting irritated was because people were being asses about it. I agreed with him 100%, in fact, I applauded him.

I agree with you 100% right there. Sure its fun to be a bit rough some times but its expected when you're jumping around together, but not to the point where people actually get HURT >< I immensly enjoyed the concert due to the fact that I was able to move around a bit more freely and it was less cramped/bashing around me ^^ Me and my new canadian friend made it to the third row o-o; we were suprised. But there was this really obnoxious guy with curly fro-like hair in a green shirt who was constantly elbowing me really hard and got in front of me (I couldn't see past his jungle of hair) ;_; come on he was taller than me... he could see fine over my head -.-

LOL yea that guy was really obnoxious
..
My sister was behind him also and i was on the side of her and she is really short and she couldnt see well >_< lol.

another thing that annoyed me was this group of grown men cursing off Still Life Decay and saying they suck.

Even if they didn't enjoy the band, here's the way I see it. Still Life Decay is the one onstage opening for Dir en grey, and the people bitching are the ones not getting famous and making money. Shows who's going further in life.

Did anyone else think that Kyo's performance on Higeki Ha Mabuta Wo Oroshita YasashikiUtsu was sorta of like Zakuro? It was very touching!!

Oh yeah XD When Toshiya came around after Child Prey and hosed me off with the water bottles I gave him my wrist bands XDD He scampered away smiling. A memoir for the NYC show :D

Also, how many people were there? Was it sold out? And what information did they give?

Information? i'm not sure on what you mean.

It was sold out, they sold close to 750 tickets I believe. The place was pretty packed.

Awesome, good news. Like, did they say if there were going to go on another tour, what they thought of the place, did they react differently to american fans, did they speak any english, stuff like that.

I'm being greatly amused due to the fact that lots of people in other places are giving reports including seeing "Frodo Lives" ::squee::

They didn't seem to react any differently than they normally do, although Kyo cracked a smile at the end. He had a good time. Kyo, Kaoru and Die were doing their basic things to get the crowd pumped. Kyo didn't say anything to the crowd except "LAST SONG!" at one point.

At the end they threw out what picks and drumsticks were left. They definitely had a good time. On the previous page there's some info about them coming back, but yes, they will be coming back. A Japanese staff member of theirs who spoke basic english interviewed us a bit about what we thought and he said they'll be coming back soon.
