The Candy Spooky Theater

Has anyone ever heard of this Visual Kei band. Actually, in my opinion they are rather one of few VK bands that have a unique original sound wherein most VK bands I have heard usually sound very similar/same to me.

Their music reminds me of NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS meets Psychadellic rock n roll..Its very odd yet very cool. Their themes from what i have seen have imagery of COMICAL HORROR/Halloween inspiration.

Not for this band....but for other things.
Though, when people call this band VK, I have a silly habit of correcting them. To answer Amatsu~Naraku's question; they've never called themselves VK, it's just a label they get stuck with.

On that note, I mentioned they'll be performing (sorta) with Lareine. Which is coolio! I could give a rats ass about the other bands, though.

Also, I have heard of them. I've bought all their CD's thus far, and I have someone who's supposed to get me their "live only" DVD. So yeah, I'm set.

My favourite song is Ferris Wheel. Though, The Exosist is up there too. Also, I hate Peggy fangirling.

Just one show that LAreine happen to be playing at, but not in the same room, more than likely. It's a 3 room show with lots of bands and it's held on Halloween.

I like Candy Spooky Theater, whether or not they're actually Visual Kei (doesn't Mana say he's not Visual anymore despite the fact that he still does GLB and the occaisonal SHOXX?) I found them to be a rather refreshing face on the whole group of music I've been listening too lately, that song "MERRY GO ROUND" was absolutely fantastic. As a pseudo-variable-vk/goth/whateverband, they certainly have their own distinct charm unlike a large variety of those varieties of bands mentioned. I'm really hoping to see them grow, they're one of the bands I'm watching with a fevered pitch (like Metis Gretel, seeing how their on LAREINE's "APPLAUSE RECORDS" sublabel "Sherow Artist Society" now)

I saw them live, I like them =) I went to the show alone and saw 9 bands over a period of 6 hours, and I made a new friend ^___^ And we joked about how the first band had an excellant vocalist and everybody else played air guitar over a recorded song. Zull is my favorite member because I caught his guitar pick ^___^

And Priss... Live only DVD? When did this happen? They weren't selling that when I saw them in July...

Anyways, Full's page is always a labyrinth, so I decided to gather some of the ones where they appear in case Candy Spooky fans...might find them useful? D:

It's for their first one man show. Their "tour final".
It's only 1 song, so it's not much. Hahahah. I think the show is next weekend, i'm not too positive.

Ka, I tried to listen to Nookicky, but I don't like them much. They're really not my style. Thanks for the photos too! I've seen 1 or 2 of those!

When I hear how they don't consider themselves Visual Kei I think of it like how Mana doesn't. Isn't it something about the Japanese goth culture doesn't consider Visual Kei Gothic and so it made me assume Candy Spooky Theatre was a Gothic band not Visual Kei

I'm going to admit I have a hard time trying to get into this band. I heard their first release when they where pretty new though, and it didn't really do much for me. I should probably look into more of their newer music eh?
