Did anybody hear the band called Sito Magus?

A couple of days ago I was browsing LJ community jrock_scans and found scans of "Grimorium Verum" - mini-album of Sito Magus. I have never heard about them, but they interested me because of the scans - they were dark and gothic. I immedeatly found they official website and myspace, listned to their songs and felt in love with them!

Official website: http://www1.cnc.jp/sitomagus/
Official myspace: http://www.myspace.com/sitomagus

The only thing that upsets me is that the band had formed in 2004 and since then they released just one album...

I heard of them last week I think, I showed Amatsu them.

I have their mini-album and I think it's really fantastic! I think that they pull of the gothic type music very well whereas some bands that try to don't. And I think they singer is great (reminds me a little of Klaha)

They're unsigned as far as I know, that's why they've only released that one mini-album.

^ Great! I think that it would be great if he did produce them (although he is probably busy making the album for Kanon I imagine?). They seem like the type of music he would like.

The only thing that upsets me is that the band had formed in 2004 and since then they released just one album...

Speaking from experience, they probably played live, sporadically, for a coupla years, and at a loss, working real jobs most of the time in order to be able to pay for live fees, travel, and then all the aesthetic trappings that come with visual, and saved it all up to produce that mini-album. Looks like they did a pretty good job on making it presentable too, which obviously cost a pretty penny. And then to get Club Indies, Like an Edison, and Third Stage to sell it...

Anyway.

Pretty nifty older gawfic VK feel to it; thanks for finding 'em.

I had an eye on them since I heard Gemme no Kan (or Banme no Hitsugi, I saw 2 different titles but it's the same song Oo) which was in a V.A. that I don't remember the name, some time ago..
Their album is good, but not exactly what I expected. I mean, I did not think that all the songs would be that "slow", even if their music style is very nice, I'd like to hear something with better beat and variety.. I'm still looking forward to their next releases.

I also found them through jrock_scans! I was just scrolling my friends page and the scans caught my attention.
So I downloaded their mini-album, and even though I like it, I'd also like to hear some more variety. I mean, while listening to it I thought: "Hm, this song really is long... oh wait, it's already another song!" XD

'They're good.' was my initial reaction towards them, but that changed when I heard Vampire Romance. Unlike a lot of bands these days, the melodies they used surprised me and that's awesome in my book.

I'd really to hear their mini-album *nudge wink*.

edit: Their name is stupid, though. I can overlook that because I like their music. :P

I agree, that their songs are a bit monotonous.
And by the way, vocalist reminds me not Klaha, but Juka! Sometimes I even had a feeling, that it IS Juka ::meev::

Well, I don't think they're that monotonous, I just think they should be a bit shorter.XD

He's like... if Seth had Juka's vibrato.

But I like these guys enough. Thanks for giving me something new to listen to for the next few days. =D

No, they're not monotonous at all!
If you want that, you can go to GPKISM. :D

The mini-album is a pretty solid release, I thought. Vampire Romance is still my favourite, followed closely by Into the Chaos.

Yeah, I have already heard GPKISM... And I still recognize his song very bad :P I remember, when I started to listen Velvet Eden, it took a week or maybe two before I remebered song titles and started to differ songs =)

But I still think that Grimorium Verum is one big song... very beautifull song, wich I like very much!

I think, my favorite part of this huge song is 9banme no hitsugi. Then necromance and Vampire Romance.

I love all of their songs, but I prefer Into the Chaos and 9 gemme no kan! Not really objective because I'm always enthusiastic when a band uses harpichord*so rare*!
