If you are shopping in CDJapan, I suggest not to use Fedex Express for the shipping method because Fedex will charge you advancement fee (Tracking number) and taxes for some countries. Even you can receive the item in 2 to 3 days.
I bought a Deep Sanctuary II T shirt on November, and Fedex suddenly mail me a bill today. ::hora::

I avoid using Fedex or UPS for that reason. They always charge custom brokerage & tax. I use register mail (a bit more expensive than Fedex). It's a hit and miss, so far I haven't have to pay custom fee and it get here in about a week. Don't forget to select the "gift" option.

In yesasia.com, they also have Fedex for the shipping method, I alway buying things from them, but Fedex never charge me any fee.
It's weird that in CDJapan, they are using Fedex also, but need to pay additional fee.
This time I bought 3 "D+SECT" from cdjapan and using Fedex, don't know how much fee I need to pay them. If they don't have "first press edition and bonus", I will go to yesasia.com

I know quite a few people that will select the gift option to avoid paying custom fees and taxes.

I'm curious but does Japan charge us on taxes for buying goods? I have read that you are charged taxes if you are a Japanese citizen. So do us international buyers not pay taxes? I'm only curious because my state has some backward ass 'Used' tax law, it's to target the people that go to Oregon to avoid paying sales tax when making a big purchase (cars, Christmas shopping etc). So they try to pass a law that you have to pay a tax on items that you paid for in another state or region that did not charge you sales tax (Oregon). I wonder if that includes International goods like the shit I buy from Japan? Not like I'm gonna pay it or anything ::meev::

I don't know how I ended up searching for information about FedEX shipping worldwide, and I gladly changed the shipping method with my order of Kaya stuff because, basically it said:

Whenever you use private postal companies such as UPS, DHL, FedEX, etc, all the packages are confiscated by the people in your country who check incoming merchandise, and for example here in my country (Colombia) they apply 28% tax over the value of your purchase, even if it's music. The only thing they don't charge is for printed material.

When you purchase using regular shipping methods, the people who manage those packages are the national public postal service, which for my country is great, and they don't have to go to DIAN (the damn company I'm talking about).

So, be careful. I'm glad I came up with looking for more information, or I'd be paying some shitty taxes to them when my package arrived, and It wouldnt be funny

I've used FedEx and I never had to pay taxes, that's why I choose to use them this time also. Doesn't it depend on which country you live in? DHL on the other hand sent me a invoice a month after I got the package....

So this time I asked the delivery person "Am I going to pay additional fee?" He said no. I showed him the invoice for the last time, he said that I can ignore it. Weird, ignore it?
