Shinya (Dir en Grey) talks about Malice Mizer in recent MTV Japan interview

hi!
new to the forum, but certainly not to Malice Mizer or -scape-, as I've been a longtime fan of both~

introduction aside, Shinya of Dir en Grey talks quite a bit about Malice Mizer in this recent interview for MTV Japan (and Mana actually linked to it in a tweet, which is how I originally found out about it). I would try and translate myself, but I've been out of practice for a long time; would anyone with better skills mind taking a crack at it, instead?

hi there!

There's not much to translate. He just says that he was inspired by the Gackt+Kami drum and piano solos, and a couple songs to that effect.
Then he says that he spoke with Kami at some point when Malice was on top of the chain and Shinya not so much, and that Kami didn't look down on him or anything. He was happy to discuss with him. Cause Kami was a good guy.
