Premature to announce since I won't be finished with every page until later this weekend... but a good half of it is up now. Some have found it already it seems.

Anyway, you can preview it over at the new server.

http://scape.us

eventually this will be the permanent address. Once the site is finished, I will replace the site at the other server as well.

It is still not finished. We have a couple more things planned, but for now, the basic theme is finished.

And don't forget to sign the guestbook! ;)

Thank you Lejun!

I really like the layout, especially the prominence of the "coming soon" releases on the front page, it will cheer me up everytime I visit in the future! I am looking forward to seeing the site completed.

One tiny thing though, I really love the header graphic (very funny)and Mana-sama of course, but will his picture header be on every page? It's just that I was hoping for a few more graphics of other band members. I appreciate graphics take ages to make and I am probably annoying you a bit but I just thought that since Scape is about the artists of Malice Mizer that there would be a bit more focus on the band or a combo of MM and MDM / Klaha / Gackt etc instead of Mana-sama alone.

It must be a hell of a lot of work on the scape site, the forums and whatever else you do, and you are very much appreciated!

Your humble visitor

I love the new -scape- design! I think it is really beautiful and stylish! ::angel::

Mana will get his own bio section? Cool! I'm thrilled by the prospect of having a Mana bio on -scape- and I love the top panel with his claws holding the book. That's such a weird coincidence though because I just wrote a bio for Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mana_%28Musician%29

Thank you for all the hard work! :)

Wow. This is amazing. I think the new look is fitting to the page. Especially the section with release dates. So you are able to look when new stuff is available. Great Work.

Thanks for all the compliments everyone ^^

And yes, feedback is greatly appreciated here (even if it is negative of course).

That was the original idea. As you can see, one pic is already up (eve of destiny). amasanin and I were hard at work this week working on graphics, but some of them got scrathced for now because I am being picky. I want them to have a certain theme and match very well... so we left room to go back and change the graphics when we finish them.

Yes! ^___^/

I thought he needed his own section finally since he is obviously up to more than just moi dix mois. It won't have *too* much info, but it will cover bascially everything that just does not seem fit to mention on the moi dix mois section.

I will read your bio thingy when I get back from work o-o/

Thanks for feedback on the upcoming releases. I don't want to take full credit since gensou and flowers kind of perfected the idea by suggesting it be a thread in the forum (which we can still do of course). But I did mention in that thread that I had some form of that exact idea in the works for the new site. I just didn't know how to implement it. So, give thanks to them too :)

I love the site redesign! The "Shadows Temple" color scheme works really well. The only thing it needs is more gratuitous references to Mana being "THE CREATOR OF MOI DIX MOIS". You know, for authenticity
And: OMG I just noticed the little "Scape Forums" and "NVC" link icons on the side... very nice

BTW Geisha, good bio... but did you see the Malice Mizer entry on there? Someone needs to fix that one...

I like it. And usually I hate the color teal but it's used well here. I have an issue with the header graphic though, I'm not loving the "-Scape-" typography or the large area of whitespace below it. Also the picture itself isn't very dynamic. It appears that you based the site's color scheme on the Shadows Temple artwork which is where the dark teal comes in. However when you top it off with a graphic that is also dark teal it makes the pages look very monotone and lifeless. I'd say using a more colorful picture of Mana (one who's color scheme accents the teal but sill has some vibrancy) would make a world of difference, especially with an improvement in the typo (try making the letters white with teal grunge effects) and the elimination of the excessive white space.

Good work though, I'm looking forward to seeing the finished design.

Thank you, Flowers! :)

I'm working on the MM bio and also on the (virtually non-existent) M10M bio. Give me some time though - I only started on this last night!

Very cool! Just a thought -- I noticed you've now got different sections for each individual member as well as they're offical post-projects. Wouldn't it make more sense to list all the members first, and then they're projects? (Mana and Kami are both integrated between various post-perojects, while everyone else is right under MM.)

I also see a few language errors on the main page and some of the bios... are you concerned with these or don't you care? I'll point them out if you do, but if you don't I'll ignore them. ;]

I like this layout much better -- more informative and attractive but still very clean.

Geisha... That's an excellent bio. Just enough and right to the point. Really good work.

Annie's Grave... by whitespace you mean the blank space I suppose yeah? I actually think it works well because it balances out with the heavier use of teal on the left of the page (the menu). I'm generally not a big fan of obviously balanced things. Balanced, but not obviously balanced ;) And about the colour monotony, if you haven't noticed from past layouts LejuN likes his simplicity. I'm all like 'omg put more in there' too but nope :l

Navate... The reasoning behind that order is that Kozi/EOD and Mana/M10M/SS are grouped together. I would prefer it more if you only had the names as a main menu and their projects in a kind of submenu but it's tricky to make it seem like that with this little space there

After searching and searching, I finally decided that that was the font I liked most. I wanted a somewhat gothic style font, but I didn't want to go old english or Minster like everyone is using...

As for the pic... and the design itself. I don't know. I definitely like the dead space and I love the pic (and if you want to get technical, it is not shadows temple, but "perish" artwork ;).

What I want to acheive is almost a cold and dead feeling overall. May not be the most attracive, but I like this style... and I believe it serves as not being too flashy and distracting as well (something I hate about most websites. Just too much to take in, making it annoying to navigate though).

We have tried some pics, and to tell you the truth, they looked great... but in the end, I chose not to at this moment and will go back and reconsider everything about that later. The main reason I chose not to though was because ultimately, they worked well and looked great and added color... but again, they just stood out WAY too much imo. Like... couldn't take my eyes off of the pic everytime it would load up.

As for messing with the actual font. I want to do some of that too. But I am leaving that up to amasanin since I am not that talented in photoshop. But all in due time....

Thanks for the comments though o-o/

The link order was from amasanin's idea to put projects and stuff in a submenu under each artists name. While I like this idea a lot, I can not do the html well and I chose not to in the end because i still want projects like moi dix mois and eve of destiny to stand out just as much as the rest. So there is a small method to it, though not a general order. The only reason Mana is at the bottom is so I can separate schwarz stein from most of the rest because it takes you to an entire different site.... and kami, well, because it will never be updated past what I plan to put up.

As for grammar o-o;;; You are talking about the intro thingy? Yes, I have a grammar problem. I can usually write up something nice if I needed to... but I just wanted to get to work. Me and amasanin both discussed it should be proofread and re-done, but I never got to it. o-o;;;;

As for the bios... well, they too have to be redone mostly. Especially Malice Mizer's. Most of the bios were done to *finally* get some content on those pages because they are hard to commit to -_-/ So I planned to get basic facts down and go back and re-write as much as possible. I would not mind if you wanted to email me some glaring errors you noticed, but keep in mind that one day (!) everything will be touched up :P

And to everyone else, thanks for the nice comments again ^_^/

Heh, okay. Makes sense. :]

About the header -- other pictures might seem overbearing because of the size of them. Even the picture that's there now is a little huge, when I think about it. I understand you want it to be that wide to fit the format of the site, but it wouldn't hurt to make it shorter in length and so reduce the overbearing 'bam, in your face' graphic feel and also give the site itself a slightly more cleaned-up look. (I didn't even notcie the news section on the main page at first because of the header and the following large box of upcoming releases.)

I'd send an email, but I'd probably get really carried away, and that's pointless since you' said you'll end up rewriting it all. ;D But if you ever get around to finalizing the text and bios and such, let me know and I'll be more than happy to proofread and edit them for you. :]
