Sadness is absolutely one of my most favorite Malice Mizer songs ever. I am sad that it never made it past the demos. Kozi is such a brilliant composer. To me, this song truly represented the Tetsu era and how it should have sounded. It is so perfectly dark and sad. Also one of the few songs where I really like Tetsu's voice and it fits.
What do you think about Sadness? Any other demo songs you think should have been released?

I think everything they did with Tetsu was at least good. As for songs that never made it past demo stage, I think Temptation of Widow could've been their best intro track if it had been used on an album. Sadness is definitely their most eerie song. It's got the right amount of echo and reverb to make it haunting; if it had been recorded for Memoire it might have lost that.

I recently decided that the Tetsu version of Shi no Buto is my favourite MM song. It's a shame that that was never even recorded.

Has anyone else noticed that Matenrou's U-RA-GI-RI and Hakuchuu no Waltz are the same song?

Yeah I love using echo delay and reverb for songs. Such a beautiful texture it gives to songs.
Ooo yeah Shi no Buto is a really good song. I always thought Temptation of a widow was really cool. That would be a good intro. The screams are funny.

So does anyone know all the songs that Malice Mizer never recorded?

I, for one, am glad it never made it past the demos. I would never want it to be demystified.

The demos are true magic, and in today's digital age I don't believe it's possible for a band to have that quality anymore.

Are you SURE hakuchuu no WALTZ and U-RA-GI-RI are the same song?

Ok, the live versions of U-RA-GI-RI and meikyuu no tobira (that are the same song of shuumaku e no tobira) are similar to old MM songs, but I don't think they are the same song.

and of course, sadness is one of my favourite songs forever.

They're in the same key, the verses are the same, the choruses are almost the same, the bridges leading up to the solo are the same, the solos are almost the same. Aside from a few minor differences, the only noticeable change is the song's main melody, so yeah, they are the same song.

I think its like a 'recycled' version.
Yeah, they have a lot of similarities, but its normal.

Listen to oldschool visual kei bands, and you will think that all bands and all songs are the same. ::meev::

But this thread isn't about that xD

You are not alone xD.

On Topic: Yes, I also like Sadness very much. But for some reason I can't imagine it being remastered. In my opinion, the demo quality fits the song pretty well :P

Yes, I suppose you all are right. If the song had been re-recorded it would have lost the perftect-ness of it.
Lafflesia is a great song!!!
Aw man I thought I had heard everything from Malice Mizer, but I guess not...just a few more songs...

i fucking love Sadness and actually, i think the ''demo'' sound fit's it very well. Like it's some old tape of a sad/happy past you had with someone.
One of the best Tetsu tracks for sure

^Not if I find them first!
Nah good luck with that, it gotta be near impossible to get your hands on.

Sadness is the first MM song I heard, actually just first japanese song I heard, and I remember thinking it was an old live recording. But I was so totally in love with it.
