FACT: I have 4 of Malice Mizer's hardcover photobooks coming in the mail (among other things). The package ended up weighing 7.7kg and costing $180 to mail ::hora:: ::hora:: ::hora::
The moral: be careful buying those books XD

I already have 3 Hardcoverbooks and the funny thing is, 2 of these are from ebay germany (my country), so shipping=very low

I swear to God I'm not trying to be a bitch, but I'm just curious: how do teenage kids with presumably no jobs afford tons of imported CD's and stuff?

I'm 18 going on 19.... ::hora::
And I'm studying, but I'll work on my holidays + I have my studyaid. That's how I can afford to buy music. Often I put around 10 000yen on music each month (or games...) and then I don't buy anything else.... ::hora::

That was more directed at Zenchou, actually. Sorry, I wasn't trying to get everyone to justify their spending habits to me or anything.

Rich parents

I usually waste my money on alcohol or cigarettes, propably they prefer buying cd's over having fun it's a joke, no offence!

Hehehe, okey^^ I've always also wondered how people without jobs can afford stuff like imported records. And every time I hear the magic words; "My parent give me money" A chill runs down my spine...

No kidding. I'm 18, and when I see the shit all these 14 year olds have it makes me want to kill myself. (not really) It must be amazing to have parents with money.

I used to get allowance (but only if I actually really worked for it) but it was nothing, and it would take me forever to save up for stuff. (I would use my lunch money for cigarettes).

I started buying stuff since january 2008. I've spent around 1800 bucks on stuff, and I don't have a job. Firstly, my parents are not rich at ALL. But my bf has a credit card XP. And, the money I get for university (which here is given daily or mid monthly or monthly), is used to pay the quote. Here when you buy stuff with a credit card, you are asked how many parts you wanna split your purchase, and when it comes to internet buyings, you automatically are splited in 12 months, which means one year to pay anything you buy. That's kind of a help, although at the end you realize you are paying like 30% of the entire purchase more. However, when I get some money it goes directly to the credit card, so the bill decreases.

I feel I'm lucky in this part of having this easiness of buying stuff (although not whenever I want), but I'm also awared of the "I have to get this right now or I'll die" feeling you start to create when you have the chance to buy stuff.

By the way, I'm 23 yo XD

I used my work money to get it & my birthday/giftmas money. Also, my Dad would be sympathetic if something came up on Ebay/CDJapan for pretty cheap, so he'd occasionally get me a couple of purchases.

Right now I have absolutely no idea how I will. I'm job-hunting & everything else but its impossible to find a job.. so I'll have to wait till Gitmas! :<

I get 200 bucks a week from my dad.
And I do work through my school.
So that's another income.

My parents would never buy my CDs, not even domestic CDs haha. They said I had to get a job if I wanted to buy this crap so I started buying CDs when I got a job but then I went fucking crazy when I finally started using shopping services and snatching up CDs from shit bands people where selling in bulk for 1000 yen or less. ::meev:: ::meev:: Only weirdos like me want this crap! LOL! I also don't have kids and I'm not in debt so I have a lot of excessive income ::meev::

My allowance is usually enough to get me by with just a little bit more for spending. I get about 221 USD per month.

This includes paying for public transport & food, and money was really tight when i had to pay for my own music theory lessons. I use the money from work (pay varies from month to month, everything is freelance) to buy CDs. I usually get them second hand since I can't afford anything new, and I end up not buying any clothes/shoes that I want to, so I guess I'm really a huge geek. ::meev::

Ah where will I wear clothes to anyway, since I'm about to enlist in 2 weeks. I'll get new clothes after the next 2 years ::meev:: ::meev::
