I am not trying to be a nuisance, but I just want to know why we cannot have pictures in our signatures.

Could anyone fill me in?

They slow down the forum (too much to load for dial up users) and fill the page up too much so you have to start looking for the actual posts in the end... That's it basically

Well, MMDN (Marilyn-Manson.Net) uses them, and their website seems to work pretty well (I should know).

However, there's nothing I can do about it, so I'll just leave it alone.

Tons of sites use it and they work perfectly fine. Aside from bandwidth issues it is mainly what amasanin said... they are distracting and pointless. Makes it harder to follow the conversation, etc.
