You're very welcome!

I have a lot of trouble deciding on my favorite song... as I do with ALL of his music. Kozi is the only musician I know of who can put together a CD that rocks me so much that I can never bring myself to skip to the next track. It just feels like I'd be comitting some horrible crime if I did XD

I can say this, though... everything from Que Sera Sera onward is pure freaking gold

I wish I actually physically had this album :(

Kozi is the only person with proper style, also I have the two live tracks of him in La Foret museum and it's just mind blowing.

Not really, Garnet is like kinda mellow and with a hint of melancholy.

This is up beat and funky.

Ok let's go!!!

My first listening to Lokin roll was Weird, as usual with Kozi, since Cabinet, i was travelling.
I love the guitar in this intro, it really gets you in the album ,into the Kozi ship!

Lokin'Roll is like a treacherous departure to the sky , maybe Loki's anger to some forbidden trip to the human being.
But here you can notice something,it's not Kozi but it's Kozi. It"s different from the Kozi we know but it's him more than ever he seems to be deep inside his song, with high decontraction.

A forbidden trip indeed like the ancient Zygourat, the Babylon Tower,so here comes Babylo.
The guitar is awesome, the drums are "tribal", it seems going wilder wilder..
Scale...trash ....freaky...escalation...it is so hard to climb so high..and then the thunder strike, the vocals are painful..
And then he falls..

He falls ,it"s melancholic ,he fails in his trip to reach the sky, nobody knows where he will land, but now it doesn't matter,QUE SERA SERA,
He flies, lying in sweet clouds, his eyes sparkle with the lightning thunder, and the rain is slowly melting with his tears..
A slow keyboard, a deep voice, a music turning again ang again and his head....
Somewhere there's a bit of happiness, the pleasure to take in his hands ,like the pleasure that took Icare flying near the sun.

Yeah , truly, between this joy ,and this sadness, there's a CURIOUS NUANCE.Something lying beneath,in the human nature that push it to face the highest, and the childish pleasure just to be near it during just a few second. It's a tale told in fatalistic way..
This songs truly remind me of his EOD works, more introspective, and more industrial, with the same type of programming stuff.

So the question which side is too blame in the end ,the one that want to be always higher or the childish : WHO'S MIND
The music seems to think about it, a guitar sounding like a waiting music,to tell a future answer..

A first answer is that both sides are to blame, Both are darks part of the human being, that makes him a NIGHT CREATURE.
This song has a jazzy spirit, it's like "i 'm dark,so what? let's have fun" , a dancing vampire, laughing of his condition.

But vampire are not human being, human being have a difference , they have souls, and as a french author says, THE EYES are the soul's windows. I think it's the more "devilish" song of the album, but very human too,it's sensual, forbidden, and attractive.
But Things would have been to simple to see human as a dark and bad creature..

So he claims: I'M NOT! oh Kozi's you"re such a rebel even good pure rock'n'roll suits you.
His voice is so different on this one..and there it is..he is not so dark, he is king, amusing, and it seems like he is even dancing..

In the end, both sides of human lie in just in one dance the LOKI N'ROLL, a dance where the human being is himself but where he sometimes loses his mind into in the music and try to be god.

Sorry it was a bit long but that's truly what this awesome album inspires me.
My favourite songs are QUE SERA SERA ,and THE EYES.

Just watched the scans from the album.
Noticed that he got himself a 7-stringed guitar now.

Go Közi ^__^;!

Im not talking about the whole song, Im just talking about the intro. I reminds me of the Garnet intro.

Thank you for the scans! ^^

I am with Karot - I downloaded only low quality copy because I'm impatient, but I can't wait to get the actual CD! ^^ But... I just can't resist from wanting to hear, even though I know the real thing is much better quality. >.<

And yes - those 2 live tracks you mentioned are just... wow. There are no words.

Gordam: I love your very poetic review! ^^ I am going to write a review, which I promised to Nippon Projec website, and I will post the link here when it's up. I was making my notes tonight while sitting backstage in my downtime! lol.

Hmmm, I wouldn't say I think it's 'un-Közi-like' exactly... I just think it is part of his incredible ability to be able to make each of his releases very different from any previous, while still retaining his distinctive stamp.

It's certainly a lot more guitary ^^... and more bass too! ^^ I love that... it's lush and it makes a brilliant anchor for the rest of what's going on. Hehe, my review is leaning towards the technical side... I'll leave the poetry to Gordam! ^^ I always write analytically; I wish I had the good way with words. >.< He uses his voice a bit differently on this, too.

As far as my favourite track... kyaahh... difficult... >.< It seems Que Sera Sera is the popular one at the moment, but I'm differing... for me it's between Loki n' Roll, Curious Nuance, and The Eyes. I'll need a bit more listening to have a favourite track... if I ever can! XD

I have to say this... Közi is the only musician I can think of off the top of my head who can make songs that sound sinister and bouncy at the same time!

Overall, after hearing the album, Id have to say Im kinda dissapointed by it. I actually like Catharsis quite a bit more.

On Catharsis, there is only like one song I will skip every once in a while, but I cannot even listen to Loki n Roll and Babylo. I just cant stand the way he is singing in these two songs. Cabinet is just so so.

I do like pretty much everything after Que Sera Sera. Its probably my favorite or second favorite song on the album. With the song that I cant decide being better is Im Not.

Overall though, I liked Catharsis better and actually hope he doesnt stick to the style of Loki n Roll and Babylo. Those two songs wouldnt be that bad if the singing didnt irritate me. Loki n Roll isnt as bad as Babylo and it isnt as bad as Im thinking now after a second listen, but its still probably less than mediocre. Another thing that might annoy me about those two songs is the filter he is using. It kinda is grating.

This cd has some nostagia. Who's mind reminds me of something Kozi might have done in Malice Mizer, or more of a guitarish type of song that would be on Catharsis.

Either way, there is like two good songs, and a few ok ones, and a few bad ones. With Memento passing, I was hoping Kozi would have put out something better IMO. Here's to his next release.

I'm going to have to agree with Nocturne on this one. I didn't find Cabinet, Loki n' Roll or Babylo to be that great. In fact I was getting quite worried until Que Sera Sera started (which was a breath of fresh air). From that track onward, I like all the songs, however some much more than others.

The reasons why I don't like some of the songs (like Loki n' Roll and Babylo) is because they seem really noisy and messy, or at least they did on the first listen, after hearing them a bit more they're getting more listenable. I think I have a problem with the drums or the vocal filter, I don't know exactly what it is.

My favorite tracks though, are: Que Sera Sera, Curious Nuance, and Night Creature. Que Sera Sera just because it's the most impressive song on the CD to me, and Curious Nuance has very nice guitar and vocals, and Night Creature because it sounds so Gackt-era Malice Mizer to me. It gives me nostalgia. A notable mention goes to The Eyes though, because it's different from what Kozi has done before, and it works well.

Overall the CD is okay, I'm not quite sure if I prefer Katharsis over it or not yet.

Great news Camuflagem! ^^

I agree that the vocal filter is a bit annoying sometimes. I think to have left it off or used a different type of filter for a couple of songs would have made an improvement, as being more different. His voice sounds quite harsh on all songs; not so varied in style.

The tone of the filter and the drums seems to be quite... hissy?... I can't think of a good word to describe it >.<... and the sound unnecessarily harsh, but I reserved judgement on that because I thought it might be a result of me listening to a bad quality rip rather than the actual CD. >.<

The songs are quite busy and crowded, it is true, but I just happen to kinda like that, because it keeps my interest and makes me listen hard.

I seem to like opposite ones to what most people like! O_o I liked the first 3 tracks, especially Lokin' Roll, although the vocals are a bit off at some points. >.< The Eyes and Curious Nuance are probably my favourites, together with the title track. Que Sera Sera didn't grab me at first, but it is growing on me - possibly because it's one of the more singable tracks; it has a good melody. ^^

I think it's heavier and darker than Catharsis, still keeping a bit of that quirkiness but not so much on this album.

Vocals are the weak point IMO. I love the guitar and bass.

Well, to be honest vocals were never Közi's strong point. It's sort of why songs like Crimson Star are so hilarious to listen to (in my opinion). Közi just seems like one of those artists who should be using guest vocalists ALA HIZAKI to sing his songs while Közi stands back and jams.

I have to admit, I was surprised by Loki n' Roll. I was expecting another Catharsis rehashing with really bad techno/darkwave introduction songs and repetitive synthesizers like Catharsis had, but this was certainly an interesting listen. I really don't see the whole deal of why Loki n' Roll and Babylo are so irritating, I personally found them to be an interesting mutation of Közi's own personal style (if not an evolution thereof) and were worth more than a few listens. I admit his vocals on those songs can get a bit grating at times, especially near the end of Loki n' Roll, but he's just trying to branch out. I rather liked the frantic sounding of those songs, although I do agree with the sentiment that Cabinet didn't sound too good. You should never start an album with the idea that the CD is skipping!

Que Sera Sera has to be like the new Promenade for me, Promenade was the one track on Catharsis I just loved to death and I find myself listening to Que Sera Sera the most. Although I admit I'm Not sounds like the standout rock track on this album, the guitar on it sounds what I personally would want Közi to sound like. What was with Who's mind though? It basically sounds like an intro song that somehow found its way in the middle of an album, and it doesn't help that it sounds like elevator music. I'm glad that Közi is trying to find himself musically, and I think that if he didn't use that garbage vocal filter on Babylo and Loki n' Roll they would be ten times better.

I'll still enjoy the album though. I think we're giving Közi a little too much credit though when we expect good vocals, there was a reason he was just a guitarist you know. It should be enough that he's still making music! I am a little dissapointed with the lack of an original mix of MEMENTO or even a notion of COLOR ME BLOOD RED (Or, "Call Me Butter Ray" as Közi says it) here. Ever since I heard that live version of that song I was hoping that it would make it onto a studio recording.

Not the greatest work I've heard, but I like it more than Catharsis. It just seemed to have a few flaws that seem to encompass the entire album.
