I think it just hit alot of people in the face. They weren't expecting that at all. I listen to my Utagoe single alot XD.

I'd rectify what you mean, if it were -my- feelings, I'd rather say, 95% of the internet japanese music fanbase. They're so biaised and I don't think most of them realize how the industry truly is in Japan, so it just really sucks.

You're right. They were upset that, heaven forbid, people can write stuff that isn't dark and depressing. I really don't think people know well-written music when it smacks them upside the head. It doesn't help that people can't appreciate the lyrics side of things, either, since lots of people are almost proud of their ignorance of the language.

I'd say you're right; in most of my face-to-face discussions people are a lot more polite and say much less stupid things. Not ALWAYS though. :-P (Riz and I have a story about a girl we both met at separate times... *shudder*)

Horizont is indeed lovely. Tatsurou's singing feels somewhat restrained, but in a totally good way. There's something soothing about it.

I'm just so totally looking forward to Gokusai right now! It's got some awesome singles on it. I'll probably pre-order next week or at the end of this one.

I don't yet have Horizont. :p

I liked Utagoe... did people really hate it that much? :| Most of people I know liked it... (although it annoys me if people like something just "because it's MUCC" without have sounder reasons, too... >_<) I thought the whole single was good. :D

Well the problem is, mucc's lyrics are mostly beautiful(oh they were before, but in a different way) and not angst filled ever since 2005. But "fans" are too stupid and need a catchy feel to it :/. I don't -fully- understand the lyrics, and I tend to read translations done by people I can trust, at least. Something people find too difficult to do it seems.

I think this deserves me bashing someone (again) that I met at Otakon 2006. To put you in situation, the Utagoe PV had start spreading on the internet in the night before the convention. No one seemed to notice, but my geeky self and making sure there is wireless internet at my hotel, looked up and found it on The Devil(youtube) in the morning, before going to the convention.

Getting in line for the press conference (or how to get infront of at least 200 fangirls because I have good friends, muahaha), I felt somewhat alone in this english world (i'm french) when my friends decided to go buy some coffee. Noticing some fat blonde infront of me ( I'm not being insulting, I'm being nice ), I told myself " oh my, I need to talk about Utagoe to someone! "(having a japanese translator in my hotel room, she was nice enough to translate the lyrics vaguely).

We engaged conversation. Or my first encounter with a retard(fangirl). Explaining to her what I had seen, and how the song was awesome, and about how beautiful the world is, also explaining the video ( and how tatsuro looks like he's 12 ), she was in awe. Her answer was " I know my MUCC, their last pv is Ryusei, I know my MUCC, don't try to look cool! I know my Tatsurou . Needless to say, I was baffled, and just stopped talking to her, saved by the almighty Odin, coming back from coffee and saying out loud "You're waisting your time with that b*tch!".

I have so many stories about Otakon.

This is seriously a case of "how to hate MUCC" haha.

I would say it's more of how to hate fangirlies of Mucc...

The worst thing that I have experienced was in May when they were in Berlin. They came out to make an interview in front of their German fans and we were ordered to stay quiet otherwise they would just leave. And I had a girl in front of me that was nearly fainting just because she couldn't scream or wasn't allowed to scream

in fact she did faint for a second when tatsurou put his arm around Yukke's shoulder..... I think I had a bit of an yaoi hardcore groupie in front of me at that time *drop*

Well .. to be honest I haven't seen horizon yet because I can't finde it *drop* ... And Youtube doesn't really work for me.. since my computer always kicks me from the internet once I open youtube O.o don't ask me y I just don't know.

But I am waiting for the new album ^^ and I am just going to be one (!) version .. and hoping that someone else has the others xD

I love Mucc's music.. and I can't understand people who say 'well yeah Mucc were better in the beginning, because they were making much heavier music, I don't like the touch of Pop they have and .. bla bla bla' Tatsurou's voice still fascinates and captivates me.. I love their music no matter what kind of music they would make.. the only sort of music I would protest is when Tatsurou would be screaming all the time xD

Yes, it's quite disgusting how many people fangirl over them because they give off a superior "rockstar" attitude for the hell of it, that no other band in that branch of (fandom) music really gives off. x_x.

Horizont is one of my favorite songs from them, and I love most if not everything of what they've done, regardless the type of music it is. Certainly Tatsuro's voice is better since the end of 2004(courses) and I can understand people who don't like the type of music they can make sometimes, because it's quite varied, but I can't understand why people would say they "were better" because it's almost impossible for a musician to be less good than he already was before.

I can't say I enjoyed Horizont at all.. I liked Utagoe, and thought people needed to chill out with being so bitchy about it, but Horizont kinda made me snooze. I'm all for bands trying new stuff and having variation in their music, but nothing really grabbed me.

MUCC was always just kind of "there" for me, but I first got into them when Homura Uta came out. Suimin was the song that grabbed me. After that, only a few MUCC songs really caught my ears, but then 6 came out and again, I was more into MUCC again. Horizont though, can't say it's doing much.

And I think "were better" means "This style doesn't suit them. Their older style worked for them more".

Also, I've never seen MUCC as acting like they're superior or anything.

Oh, they really work their ego on stage or press conferences :P but it's all a big joke.

You should watch their dvd coming out, the 666 tour. It's their best tour ever so far, and they keep the level of slow-ish/pop-ish songs very low in that tour =).

Horizont didn't grab me like some of their songs do, but it's pretty nice imo. I tend to prefer their songs with a bit more punch, but having said that, they've produced some fantastic ballad-type songs, so... :) Well, Horizont doesn't stand out for me (although it's a good song it doesn't leap out from the rest of MUCC's stuff), but their music is so varied that I'm in no danger of freaking out and going "OMGZO__Ochangeofdirectionnnnn!!!111!!" because the chances are their next album will be completely different from the styles of Utagoe and Horizont. ^_~ And I'd really rather hear them trying out all sorts of different things than sticking to the 'safe' option of one particular style. So yeah, go MUCC! :D :D

I can't really say anything to Mucc's new single just yet .. because Neotokyo is taking a while to deliver this stuff ... and ... Sendspace is bitching around again ... to be honest it always says that the service is not available for my country... the last time I tried it still said that there are no free download slots available *drop* I somehow just seem to have no luck today xD

It feels like Tsuuzetsu (and others before) had an orgy with the Devilish Years era and they had a baby.

This baby matured and they named him Gokusai.

Gokusai's really good! I think Panorama is my favorite, other than the singles, which are by far the strengths of the disc (except Gerbera, which I still ain't that into).

I'd have to disagree that the strengths of the disc are the singles. In fact, I like them alot better on the album if i think of them as filler.

Every song feels like a filler in its own way. That is the downpoint of the album for fans, I mean. Gerbera was released almost a year ago -.-;. Everyone overheard it.

There's definitely strong points to the album that stand out more than filler tracks would, to me. I think Gerbera is my favorite of the singles, and luckily I didn't listen to it when it came out. I hadn't given it a formal listen until the album came out actually. Risky Drive is just awesome though. xD

RESKEEEHHH DRAIIIIVE.

Maybe I just don't like the repartition of the songs, or FOUR singles being on the album. My favorite songs are the three first (including the intro). I really enjoy this album but it'll have to grow on me.
