From the social media: Moitie is opening an "online salon" through DMM:
https://moi-meme-moitie.com/?tid=5&mode=f47
https://lounge.dmm.com/detail/1686/

Among other things it promises:
- Advance Moitie news
- Interviews with special guests (first one seems to be H. Naoto)
- Exclusive Mana diary entries
- Hair and makeup tips to go with Moitie clothes
- Columns by people historically associated with Moitie (?)
- Exclusive video

Sounds like a sort of "fan club" with a limited duration of one year - 1480 yen per month. I'm not entirely sure how much personal involvement Mana has in this beyond his diary and conducting the interviews, and how much is just produced by the new management at Moitie.
Anyone going to take the plunge and find out what lurks beyond the proverbial gate? ::mana::

EDIT: The Moitie page says that foreigners can join, but credit card is the only method of payment accepted and all the content is Japanese-language only. Nice of them to leave us that note at least.

I took the plunge and am getting by on Google translator. There's a little introduction that is totally worth the money xD
The interview with h.Naoto was somewhat interesting but Mana said nothing we didn't already knew

I wonder how often they'll actually post stuff...

I always say, we've got the best field agents :)

There are 4 post in total, 1 from Mana himself asking people to introduce and 3 from the Moitié staf
So is this like a sort of private blog with "entries" that you can view?
Without giving too much away, what were the staff posts about? Just introductions or actual content?

I don't know what to write without leaking something LOL, but mainly information about the history of Moitié and something *funny* Mana shared, join and you will see xD

The Interview with Naoto was interesting but nothing that we didn't know before.

Well, I forked over the cashdols. The "special greeting" is definitely worth it

Anyway, for those still considering: it is a sort of private blog, where the staff (and Mana) create posts and the comments sections are open to members. Hashtags are available for those so inclined ::batsu::
So far there's not too much content besides the above-mentioned item: just the interview with H. Naoto (which was interesting), and something about Moitie's first store. We'll see how much content they post in the upcoming month.

This isn't spoiling anything, but from the H. Naoto interview, I ran it through Google Translate and got:

Mana: How long did you know the existence of Mowameme Moitiers?
This really brought back memories of the old, abominably translated Mon+amour issues ::meev::

Since last time I posted there have been a couple posts about upcoming Moitie items that haven't been released yet, and a short video clip. Seems like they're updating at a reasonable pace, but this is probably only going to appeal to serious Moitie fans and people who want to chat with serious Moitie fans.

Mana posted a makeup tutorial (supposedly the first of several). As usual, subscribe if you want to read it ::cred::

I just have to share something from the replies section though:

Meanwhile i hope you have seen the latest Jeffree Star Release.

The sheer audacity

I just want to remind everyone who might have joined that this is an automatic monthly subscription. You've probably already gotten billed for another month by now, or at least pre-authorized for it (look for a charge from JCB ARAIGAE on your card)
I don't really find this worth $120/year or whatever it was, so I've withdrawn.

By the way, did anyone else notice that it was possible to list out all the members? There were precisely 198 paying subscribers... 197 now that I've left. Still, 291560Y of revenue a month is nothing to sneeze at ::cred::

I quit after issue 2. It seemed like if you're not specifically interested in the social aspects of the "salon" - either conversing with other Moitie enthusiasts or hoping Mana reads your posts - there's not that much for you.

The interviews are nice :p I guess it's more interesting if you're really into MmM and new releases

How many subscribers do they have now?

218 according to my count because they removed the label with the exact number of members.

At this time there is no new info that has not already been published on the Moitié rrss. Well, there is a secret video on Youtube with outakes from the last interview with the guy from Utena.

Sooooo how much is the subscription again?

It cost 1480 yen per month.

Has anyone who is still a member of the salon had any issues with their credit card?

It asks me to input a valid payment method but wont accept my credit card for some reason.. it expires in 06/2020 could that be why?! It still has 2 months to go, i dont see why that would be the issue but its the only thing i can think of! T_T

It is possible that credit card companies have upped their fraud protection and are blocking payments to DMM. Because DMM first bills 1 yen and then does a second billing of the rest of the monthly fee. This is the kind of activity that the companies look for when trying to prevent fraud.

A number of people have had the problem, there is a thread about it in the Salon. What everyone is now doing is buying DMM points using PayPal, and then switching their payment on DMM from credit card to points. One point is one yen, so it is a straight conversion. The other choice is to contact your credit card company and see if they are blocking the payment.

I hope this helps.
