Yeah, that one is a pretty good example of what I mean. But I'm not just talking about releases in general (like you said, they've just been sticking to 'greatest hits'), I'm referring more to the overall change in the 'brand' - the photoshoots/models (not the models themselves, but if you showed someone these images in Moitie's heyday I doubt they would believe that they were 'official').

Is that wand photoshopped in, or is she holding it? I can't work it out.
I don't have all my old GLBs here with me so these will have to do.

The communication (they didn't have modern SNS back in the day of course, but there was a certain austere disconnect in their communication that contributed to the brand's mysterious image - now you have a social media manager replying to nearly every enquiry on a public space - and again, it comes across as an ordinary social media manager fielding enquiries rather than a tantalising missive). Essentially, Moitie under Mana's authority had a more austere character, wherein everything felt like a manifestation of his personality and taste and was consonant with a greater aesthetic world which he had built through his music etc. I had a couple more points but I need to get going, hopefully you get the idea.

Not just Moitie though, I'd say it applies to a lot of bands and artists too. This forum was pretty much built on that kind of mystique back in the day - no one knew anything and we were all gathering to try to pick up some smoke signals and guess what they meant. Now it's all much easier, everyone broadcasts everything on social media, and we get the warts-and-all view of these guys. The world's just moved on, and if anything Mana was swimming upstream for a long time already maintaining the "ivory tower" approach to the brand.

As for the models and photoshoots... well, sure XD But I'm mostly of the opinion that "business is business" now when it comes to that stuff, and you do what you gotta do to move that merch ::cred:: And really, that's probably what Moitie needs right now.

Remember that one time where Mana joked about making elegant toilets? well, I don't think we're that far off from that, lol.

You'd need like 8 of these to get the right shade of Mana Blue though XD

A bit of news from the Moitie Salon: Moitie is going to be introducing a bolo tie ::mana::
I can't share the picture since it's behind the veil of secrecy, but for those of you who aren't familiar with the Southwestern art and science of the bolo, here are some examples:

This is considered formal enough to substitute for the conventional silk necktie - at least in circles where the definition of "formalwear" can include cowboy boots.

    *Twitter Update*

Lord M will be releasing an interview with, one of my favourite nurses in the universe, Aoki Misako!!
It will be released on the 2nd of May and non-salon members (such as my broke self) will have a chance to read partway!
Mana-sama has also hinted that, due to popular demand, there will be another recruitment for salon members in May.
