So,now i'm going to start this poll that i started over about different versions of songs in Malice Mizer's discography.

I'm only doing it because my first one was kind of "lopsided" if you will.

So this week's poll is the third Nippon Columbia single
"Gekka no Yasoukyoku".

Which do you prefer?
The ridiculously avant-garde comedic masterpiece,"Gekka no Yasoukyoku",or it's off the wall remix known as "Gekka no Yasoukyoku De L'Image Mix"?

Let's See....
I cast first vote! xD

I think the B-side is less annoying, plus it features some quality musicianship that really lets the piece shine. It's a shame (but not a surprise) that Mana and Kozi weren't playing the accordians there.

EDIT: And yes, this is an improvement over the last poll--now it will tell us something! :D

I don't think I've ever heard the second option before o_o but it is one of my favorite MM songs so I'll have to look into it

I actually dislike this song too - and for that matter, everything else Kozi wrote on Merveilles other than Illuminati. Which is odd because I'm head over heels in love with his solo work.

wow! lmao

I always thought Gekka was one of the more obscure songs but jeez some of you all sound like ya hate it xDDD

I took me a while to like AMOF (as matter of fact) i used to always skip it.....but then i learned the dance routine and kinda sorta fell in love with it? (Same with Ju te veux, hated at first then saw the dance and liked,ALSO for Houkai Jokyoku)

I picked the original b/c it has this fun factor to it-
it's the kind of song you could play at a themed-party or during Halloween and it'd fit the mood perfectly you know?

De L'image....is very unique. I dunno who in the hey's whispering though. Someone said Kozi but i doubt it.

You people are crazy, I adore both versions of no Yasoukyoku! I admit though, I love the weirdness of the remix just a tiiiiny bit more. :) It was a song that eluded me for a while, until the Singles Collection came out. So I think the novelty of discovering such a different sounding take on a song I already knee was what really sold me. :)

I voted for the original. The ~de l'image~ mix just reminds me of an introduction to Ju te veux (from the merveilles l'espace DVD)...

Gekka no Yasoukyoku is 100% one of the best from Marisu.
I love both but the original stays orginal(read: stays the one which deserves more worshipping).
