I bought mine from CDJapan, it's got the spacing error with Kaya |Glitter, the pressed in Taiwan thing, and the Kaleidosope misspelling. I wouldn't worry about the Kaleidosope thing especially, I'm pretty sure Kaya himself noticed it and made a blog post about it - I think faith translated it a while back so if you look through the Bara Chuudoku thread you might be able to find it.

correct; it was a typo and Kaya laughed about it a bit and apologized.

also...are the songs numbered correctly?
Just wondering...

So it says Kaleidosope as well, it seems that Kaya is a bit too anxious to get his albums out

Check "Glitter" album, not the single "Kaleidoscope". If there really isn't this mistake......o__O (maybe you have 2nd press and they elminated this error later?..dunno)

*Just checked my copy* yeah, Pressed in Taiwan too and Kaya |Glitter on the side, while on obi it's Kaya | Glitter

This is what happens when production is rushed, this happened with another band - the tracks were mixed up on the track listing :|

I couldn't find "Camilla" anywhere on my Carmilla single

EDIT: Oh wait, it was on back of the booklet, but everything else says Carmilla.

It's under the OBI, yeah. Both the OBI and the tracklist on the CD says "Kaleidosope" as well.

Well didn't Kaya say he does every artwork on his albums himself? It's really easy to miss one or two little errors if you're working on it alone and there's no-one else to check it out.

Umm..

O__o

That's the first I heard of that. Isn't this his first major release, he probably did the artwork for his indie releases, but since this was a major release, I think this had to be looked over? No?

The version of Glitter we are talking about was the indies Glitter (from like 2006 or whatever). But yeah, a few of his CDs have a note that the artwork/design was done by Kaya himself.

But even then, didn't he have some sort of managemment? Something tells me that that wasn't a wholly indies release. Then again I don't have the CD myself.

We're talking about the 2006 indies version of GLITTER. I saw the information on the Hannya fansite. It says they translated the official biography at Kaya-rose.com.

Maybe faith could confirm this?

Can you translate the Kaya-rose.com biography and see if it says that Kaya does all his album artwork himself?

I translated that for Hannya.

現在『耽美』をメインテーマに活動、『美意識革命』『セクシャリティの解放』を目標とし、作詞、CDジャケットデザイン、メイクや衣装デザイン、ライブの構成、演出、そのすべてを自ら手掛ける

"He himself handles everything having to do with song lyrics, CD jacket design, make-up and outfit design, organization of concerts and performances."

I think you might have misunderstood. It doesn't say he does it himself or all by himself. It says he "handles" it. It could also be translated as "he has a hand in" everything. I think it's impossible for one person to do ALL of those things by themselves. It could mean that someone else designed the jackets and then he looked them over and edited them or whatever. Kaya did complain about not having enough staff/help well into December 2007 (I'm guessing around the same time he was auditioning for major labels.)

That said, I do know for sure that Kaya did say he drew/designed the cover for the Kaleidoscope single, he drew the pattern used on the Carmilla t-shirt and he was responsible for the production of the Salon de Chocolat DVD.

The person who designed the jacket for the major-release GLITTER gave Kaya a present on stage at the AREA one-man, so even though Kaya had said something about submitting a design for the jacket on his diary, it was that person who came up with it, and Kaya must've just looked it over/maybe edited.

As far as the indies one goes, I bought it when it first came out and it has both the spacing error and says that it was pressed in Taiwan. It also has the Kaleidosope spelling error. So, I'm pretty sure you have the real thing.

In the credits it says:

Design: D.P.P.
Total Produced by Kaya

Interpret that as you will for the design of the jacket.

Thanks for the reply.

I actually missed the design credits completely, but it makes sense that Kaya would've hired someone else to do the artwork and design.
