I really want to hear the actual version. I think someone here (but it might've been elsewhere) said that the single version is different from what they played on the radio. I really liked what I heard though. The intro was kinda weird but once the rest joined it was really good. The lyrics were amazing(ly sluttly) as always. Kaya <3. The song's SOO dance club material! Much more so than Schwarz Stein. I kept thinking it reminded me of Madonna's latest album.

I'm thinking of asking a friend in Osaka to get it for me. Homeboy's ALWAYS studying though. But he has to do well for college entrance exams since this is his third year. I hope he doesn't live too far from Likea. :(

Ahh! I just got mine in the mail and I'm totally in love with it. ::weepy::

The cover art is extremely gorgeous (it being the first thing I noticed) and as for it looking familiar, I don't know, but eyes sans eyeballs always makes me think of Hora for some strange reason. >_>

Then I turn it over and see Kalm's name and I do a complete triple take, jump a little, and spam a few of my friends. XD

As for the music, it was excellent. Kaleidoscope was the real gem of this CD (I liked it better than remains of the mind). The beginning reminded me of Captain Jack's Dream a Dream if anyone's ever heard it... only because I forget what classical piece they took that melody from. Though this might be what I'm thinking of:
Tastes Like Future wrote:
There's line in Kaleidoscope that reminds of the Nutcracker...or something Tchaikovsky has done.
Then it started to remind me of a Middle Eastern melody (actually Madonna's take of a Middle Eastern melody after reading el_mentado_neff's post) but not for long as right after that I became caught up in the lyrics. The lyrics for both songs are absolutely MIND BLOWING.

remains of mind is also nice and very haunting, probably more so than Kaleidoscope.

The beginning instrumental of Kaleidoscope I really liked... though I do think it should have been shorter. After a minute passed I started asking myself, "This isn't going to be an instrumental... is it? o_o!"

...And is anyone else but me surprised by the use of a curse word in remains of mind? I guess not surprised so much as it just looks out of place... compared to what Kaya usually writes. ::kisaki::

Wah...*.* *readthelyrics* They are so beautiful.

I've heard that he has a new single but I have never heard some of his solo-stuff (it's a shame...) so I didn't order. After hearing the Radio-thing were they play it, I regret it. ;_;
Now I know I should order next time...

Is there any way to get it? Or somebody has one too much or a copy? ::shifty::

That's because it's a different translator, naturally :/
Not just the swear, but the whole flow of the lyrics is different.
Plus it's not a native english speaker......

As for me, I remember people being offended when the translator used "ass" in Madousho, so I don't write swears into lyrics unless absolutely necessary. "Nante" doesn't always have to be a swear~

Didn't a Schwarz Stein song have "You dirty bitches" chanted over and over again in the background? (In English)

Yeah, it was "Beautiful the Virgin", but I don't think it was included in the lyrics, so it's pretty much just guesses as to what he's saying ::hora::

It was just odd seeing "fuck" after seeing "dazzling rosy ecstasy". XD

And I heard other things worse than "you dirty bitches" in beautiful the Virgin but that's probably just me and my mind. >_> But yeah, it wasn't in the lyrics and it's up to people to decide what's being said, so I guess it's not as much of a shock as seeing it written down. But Kaya singing dirty words isn't necessarily a bad thing...

...actually, come to think of it, I did use swears in my translation of "Beautiful the Virgin" I think XD
Ah well....

Since the translator did this according to Kaya's wishes (I'm assuming), he must have wanted it in there?

Wasn't the "your dirty bitch! Filty, dirty!" part in Beautiful the Virgin said in English anyway, though? That's a direct line from the artists, so...

I'm not really one for swearing unless it's absolutely needed or has some sort of meaning by why the word was used, but I mean... all languages obviously have vulgar words and use those words on occasion. So why is it always such a big deal when a curse word appears in a Japanese song or the translation of a song? Not to say that I wasn't surprised by "remains of mind," but I was surprised because I hadn't expected to see that language in one of Kaya's songs. Since I hadn't seen it before.

I don't know. Just curious, I suppose. :/ Something I always wondered.
