Teru reminds me of Mana if Mana was Oshare and didnt stfu ever. Not sure if I hate him or love him.

Hizaki's not oshare though. He's more of sweet lolita? In any case, I find Hizaki to be a much better guitarist, and that's good enough for me, even though I wasn't fond of the CD.

@Kazuo
I think Amatsu is saying this, yes. I guess he thinks Hizaki is more skilled but he likes the music Mana writes more, though.

And I second the Hizaki is not oshare thought.
Some kind of Lolita..Maybe not really sweet lolita, because they tend to wear more white and pink and tons of frills, but I think it could fit somehow though.

@Nocturne
Wow, huge review. O.O
Thanks

He's kind of strange with his lolita fashion. It's sort of a combination.

I'd say it looks more like a band costume than real lolita. Lolita is usually characterized by short skirts and a girly appearance, right? I think HIZAKI has a more aristocratic womanly look. It doesn't appear (from my perspective) to be related to lolita at all.

And I think that what Amatsu said shouldn't be limited to Mana's compositions. The way he said it sounded like he likes Mana's guitar playing better, despite it being less technically masterful.

I personally think Mana has more skill than his compositions usually show, and I've always liked his playing, but we don't ever see solos from him like we do HIZAKI, which would be nice every once in a while. I don't personally feel that HIZAKI's guitar solos redeem the rest of his composition, though; I leave listening to HIZAKI with a very potent "eh" feeling. Mana is definitely a more seasoned composer, and HIZAKI, though having his own merits, doesn't cut the cake as cleanly (I think I invented a new phrase?) for me.

well said. i like mana's earliar compositions with guitar, songs like tsuioku no kakera and bel air [especially bel air] really showed off his talent, but for moi dix mois, he obviously wont use the sound of those two songs in his music because moi dix mois doesn't make that kind of music, but i still think mana should include some soloish parts in his music just to make it more colorful. in summary, it takes more talent to play the first two scores of guitar in bel air then it does to play any two guitar scores from any moi dix mois song on guitar and i just wish mana would show his talent more >.>;;

Second. (Or third, how'd you want to take that)

I don't think I need to add something to this...
Just...right...it seems like he could do more, but just...doesn't....and it would enlighten Moi dix Mois music maybe if in some songs some solo-parts would appear. Not that it is bad without, but it would make it more....yes...colourful.

I will disagree. There is such a style called 'classical' lolita and it is fashion that can be worn in everyday life. Brands like 'Mary Magdelene' and 'Victorian Maiden/BETH' are classical lolita.

Lolita is varied, it's not all about the stereotypical "frills and lace". There's girly-girl and then there's a more refined, mature look via victorian era/ideals.

And there's a difference between lolita and 'vk' lolita.

Teru, on the other hand, would be considered a 'train-wreck' from 1337 lolitas. ZOMG no blouse under that jsk and wearing lace arm warmers!1!11!! FAIL.

Or some lollerskates like that . . .
Hmm, maybe Faith could explain this better than me.

Oh, there are lots of different lolita styles. =)

Ama-lolita
Shiro-lolita
Kuro-lolita
Decora-lolita
Ero-lolita
Punk-lolita
Sailor-lolita
Classical-lolita
Country-lolita
Gothic-lolita
And 'related' styles like arisocrat, dandy/kodona/ouji.

'Classical' lolita can be deemed the perfect style for women who love lolita, but are getting older and the lace and whatnot is getting to be too much for them (there's supposed to be a certain age range where you can't wear lolita anymore, so classical would be exempt? Idk.). Or they turn to the aristocratic style. The 'glamorous madame' is also befitting for the older age range.
But then again, classical lolita can also be a preference for people who don't really like all the tons of lace and ruffles. It's more 'sleek', if I can say that.

Oh, what am I blabbering about? `\(O_o)/`
Sorry for being OT. ><

Doesn't Kuro-Lolita originally come from Kurofuku?

Umm, probably. XD

I can't remember all my facts, but lolita fashion in Japan stemmed up from the late 1970's-1980's. Maybe.
. . . . ugh, I can't remember. But lolita did have something to do with a fashion house called 'Pink House'? And 'Baby, the Stars Shine Bright' is the oldest brand out of all the lolita brands.

Well, I know Kurofuku predates lolita. It was when women (and men I think) used to wear all black outfits, consisting of long dresses. Think.. Mana in Beast of Blood?

EDIT: Hey. you deleted your post. ;[

Social capital, brand clothing, ideas. Don't run out of all three at once. ::cred::

But yeah, I recommend a new thread if people would like to continue the lolita discussion.
EDIT: Beaten to it.
