GLB: Have you toured around Los Angelos yet? What do you think about the United States so far?
Kaya: Yes, yesterday I went to [Grauman's] Chinese Theater and a club, and they were both really fun. But I haven't really had time to see very much yet, so I can't really say what my final opinion is!
GLB: What made you decide to take your first trip here?
Kaya: I've always wanted to come, actually, and for this event I was invited out to perform by Cure.
GLB: You have a long history in music; when did you first become interested?
Kaya: When I was a baby, really, in my house, I was always surrounded by music. When I was about three years old, I started singing, and eventually I decided I wanted to be a singer.
GLB: Can you tell us about the first badn you were ever in?
Kaya: Hmm...when did I start that? I've always been really into music, but the first time I ever participated in a paid performance was when I was in my band in high school. We had a proper band, including a drummer and a guitarist. All of the band members were dressed up in visual kei style, too. I did the vocals.
GLB: How did your first professional band come to be part of the Midi:Nette label?
