Thanks for adding my question! He didn't seem to quite understand the point of it though XD I was hoping he'd be a little more specific - usually musicians like to talk in detail about their pimpin' gear. Unless Hora's gear is a trade secret ;)

And he's playing Zelda DS just like me. I approve

Oh wow, he's a gamer. <3 XDD (that shouldn't be all that surprising, but it's cool when an artist plays and likes the same games you do.)

And he's a fan of Guillermo del Toro. =D

Neat interview! I can't wait to listen to ICEBOUND. ^^

Whatever that man says, i'm somehow amused by it.

I'm trying to imagine him trying to play final fantasy crystal chronicles... XD

The music from that game is amazing. It pulled me into the universe far more than Zelda: Twilight Princess ever did. :/ Thanks for reminding me to research more of Kumi Tanioka's stuff~~ </off-topicness>

Alotalot of artists seem to like cats. XP

Anyway, listening to Kaya and Hora's compositions, I think Hora sticks to the "classical" electronic style a little bit more than Kaya does. I like their stuff equally, but sometimes Kaya's legato vocals doesn't really suit a particular song. :/ I haven't done enough research on the artists to find out why that is, exactly. Who has Hora been influenced by?

(I remember hearing something about them working with E-type at some point (which made me freak out for a bit 'cause E-type's kind of cool). Is that true?)

Almost certainly not. No one knows for sure but all indications are that E-TYP only lasted for a little while in 1996. Kaya didn't start music till 1999, and Hora's probably the same or thereabouts.

Are we talking about the same E-Type? He's still working on new stuff, according to his website. 0_o Either way, I don't think it's really all that important, but it's nice to have that clarified (if indeed we are talking about a completely different E-Type).

It would help if I found the article/website that mentions it, but I can't remember where I saw it. ::weepy::

...E-Type....? Do you mean the still active Swedish band?
If so I have no idea why they would have been working with Schwarz Stein.

If you mean E-TYP however (a band with Dada/Yuusuke Gotoh on vocals and Shin Ueda on keyboard)...then that was Dada's old band from a decade ago. *@ Hanachan: weren't they Osaka-based?* Kaya was still in Awa and Hora was collecting sneakers when they were active....oh wait ::meev::

Sorry it took so long...

Yesterday Kaya gave me his new single. Kaya-kun, thanks for everything.
On all accounts it's a very him-like (her-like?) world and I highly recommend it.
I'm thinking of seeing if he'll let me go to one of his lives sooner or later.
Kaya-kun, thanks in advance for when I do (laughs)

11/06

Last week I finished the sample disc for [Icebound] and I've had it on repeat lately.
There are vilent songs, techno songs, and gothic-ish songs, and I feel pretty good about how it turned out.
I'll begin shipping mid-November, so if you haven't reserved your copy yet please do.
I hope you're looking forward to it if you already have.

Today, as Kocha continues to gnaw my leg, do I write my music.

10/30

And the site link, as if it ever gives any extra info >_<

Thank you for the translation. ^__^

Is it just me, or is Hora the only one who calls Kaya 'Kaya-kun'? like.. -kun?
