Release Dates:

I don't know much about SACD, but isn't the quality supposed to be excellent? Still, I think it silly of him to be re-releasing EVERYTHING. What's up with that? Maybe he's reliving his self-proclaimed prophecy of ending everything in 2007.

I'd kill him if he stopped in 2007, because he still has to come to Europe first ne?

I am also curious about this sacd thing, i read the article at wikipedia, but too much technical crap and they didn't say if it is really worth it over a regular cd.

I know! People were hoping that even if he did re-release, the newer versions would be cheaper...but turns out that because of this SACD format, everything is more expensive.

I already have all of these, so I most likely won't buy a "limited" set.

It could also just be the record company's doing, like with the MM box sets. Looks interesting though. Can't wait to see what the asking price is going to be. ::meev::

The price for each CD is going to be ¥3,800, I believe.

Roughly $32?

This would be a good time for me to finally buy Mars, now that I would remember to do so.

Aren't the same cds in print currently? ::erm::

I wonder why they didn't re-print the Mizerable album. ::erm::

Because Mizerable is a single. ::erm::
*I think*

I thought it was a mini-album, but I could be wrong, too... ::shifty::

Mizerable was released as a mini-album AND a single. First as the mini with Lapis, ~Prologue~ Leeca, and Story. Then as a single with just Mizerable and its instrumental. The single cam in 2 versions. One with the PV, the other just a regular single.

Even tho they're not completely original material, I don't see why he doesn't re-release The Sixth Day and Seventh Night either. :/

Will the original releases go out of print, then? I wonder how/if the packaging will differ. I'm gonna go look up SACD. I know nothing about it. I bought a bran-new stereo last week, but it doesn't have SACD format.

Honestly, this seems kind of silly to me.

This isn't really that big news. Unless you have an SACD player or something you won't be able to tell a difference. I had one once but then realized nothing I liked was available in the format and sold it. Oh well! If they come with a snazzy booklet/poster and you've never bought the album before, I guess pick it up. Who knows if the format is even going to last that long.

What is SACD anyways? Does it like...make the songs better or something? I had never heard of it until now. But I wouldnt buy a SACD player just for this. I wonder how much it'll be in all though  ...Though the booklet and poster would be good for any ::gaku:: fan :) .

And I agree, I think that its silly to re-release everything. :| No entiendo. Is the company trying to milk him for money or something? XD

The cheapest player I looked at was a little over $100.. hmm..

I'd love to have his first few albums in high quality, though.

The only one I think I'd prolly buy is Diabolos... as my original one was stolen out of my locker THE DAY I got it. Man, I was pissed. And it's not like it went to some theif who would have liked it, anyway; The Korean exchange student and I were the only ones that listened to Jrock in the entire school.

I think Gackt is goin' a little 'woo hoo' lately. Other than the possible increase in sound quality, there's not much point in re-relasing all of this. :|

Except to get more money, of course.

It can't be that much more money, though. Only super die-hard Gackt fans would re-buy EVERYTHING. Are there really that many of that kind of people out there?

You took the words right out of my mouth! But I suspect that there ARE people out there...lots of them. So many that it made them have this idea to re-release all of the albums. Why would you rebuy everything though if you already have them??? Oh, because its SACD and the poster with the booklet. I'd rather look for it on Ebay ;)

But what if you haven't bought most of his albums (like me)? I spend what I have on his DVDs, 'cause I just like performances. I think it'd be nice to have a couple super hi-def albums, at least just to test how well the audio actually is for myself. And if it's the same, then well, I have the album, finally.

I agree but I think its weird to buy it if you already have all of them, or most. If you dont have them then this is a good item for you. (just make sure you have SACD thingy?) I donno if it works on regular players or not. ^^
