I just usually send an email about the new release they did and what not. I don't expect a reply becaused god knows how many emails they get in a day.

a little off topic:
At least on the Dir en grey webpage, Kyo was honest about not reading fanmail.

I know this is a bit off topic, but not quite...you can write to Moi Dix Mois and Kozi, if they don't reply what is the point in it being there, is it to please the fans?
So what if they don't reply? They still read it and appreciate it. They like hearing what the fans think.

It's unrealistic to expect a personal answer to every fanmail. If they took the time to respond to everyone they wouldn't have time to do anything else.

It's not just the reply, it's just do they actually read it? I know the amount of mail the probably get is quite alot ^^; Therefore why is that feature there? I mean they will be busy on tour and stuff...

in Madousho do they talk about fan mail or print fanmail and comment on it?

I emailed Kaya once telling him I wanted to buy a CD, and got a long email back. One of the sentences was "The Japanese post office is anal-retentive."
Me too, for all that talk of loving his fans, he must be copy and pasting his replies ::weepy::

I'm convinced a lot of them do the copy-paste-copy-paste thing. I mean look at Yoshiki! But he also has a tendency to gush over his fanmail quite often. XD

I write plenty of artists, nothing digusting and/or fangirlish. I write them about their music, give them feedback when they ask for it, and occasionally when I have a chance wish them a happy birthday. I would never in a million years, however, expect a reply. They're busy men, and practically burn themselves out trying to create wonderful things for the fans that helped bring them to where they are today. Their music is more than enough for me.

I'm more than positive they actually read their fanmail, wouldnt you? I mean if I were in their position I would definately read all my fanmail, I'd love the feedback and/or ego boost. Fans feed off of the musician and their music, musicians feed off of their fans and their feedback. It's a give and take thing. It might take them a good long while but I'm more than positive they would find the time to get to it.

Musicians are people, too. And people are curious creatures, after all ^_~

Well. I must say I have sent some mails to Kaya, and I don't spect for an answer at all. However, it would be nice if he just said: "Thank for the people from........who sent this mail" or something.

Finally, I need help. I know how to send Kaya mails, but I have no Idea of what to choose in the list of Kanjis that i suppose are the location. I have no idea how to translate that list and I don't know if I'm right with the way I send them. Thanks.
