We all joined for the band or for just one of it's band members, but sometimes people lose interest or things happen (klaha *cough*). Just because they lose interest doesn't mean they want to leave the forum completely, so they stay for the place where you could talk about anything.
I mean, you could just say the same for people who post in ONLY Mana related topics.
Just check some old thread back in the day where someone said the same thing you did

Well then the point really is that others have broken these rules to some extent, if his rule-breaking warrants a ban then he should be allowed back eventually (it's already been over a week no?) without the say of anyone else, it's only being consistently fair.

Halvorc was banned, but was allowed back after a while. Why is this not the same? People break the rules here all the time and they don't even get so much as a warning. So if he was banned, he should be allowed back eventually because the ban serves as a warning. But now I'm thinking even if he gets unbanned, it's not the place for him anyway with people getting so uptight over a few dirty jokes, I mean really, what the hell are you arguing over him for, seems more spiteful to me than anything else. "I have a problem with the way you joke, go away and never come back!" ? That's not fair at all, no.

Several currently active members have been banned and let back in on a merit system, either under the same name or under a new handle.


I would not mind seeing him back if he cleaned up his act a little. Even though he could be crude, I enjoyed his company. He's an oldschool scaper (props yo) and actually talked about music. We could use more of that 'round here.

Temp ban seems adequate when compared to past situations.

Quite a few people (myself included) have broken the rules around here with no consequences, so I don't know if the breaking the rules argument really works.

All i did in my first post was voice my opinion on whether or not he should be unbanned. i only started posting reasons why I thought that he should not be unbanned. i voiced my opinion on the topic and responded to a question asking why people who feel similarly might think that way.
I was not, as you insinuated, being "spiteful". i have my opinions and i'd like to keep it that way, thank you very much.
Edit: and whatever else you post arguing with what i said, i'm going to ignore.

I voted to unban him. The last few permabans I recall were for persistent, uncalled-for personal attacks and genuine trolling and I don't really think he's crossed that line. Though to be fair I don't know what happened with the saucepan reference
