From JaME
Deshabillz is more than just a band, it is, in a way, a cult or a sect. The band formed in 1992 and has since come a long way, from being indies to the shining major throne.

Their style is a unique combination of goth-rock with elements of baroque, romance and melancholy, with decadent, symbolic lyrics. The band's name comes from the French word 'deshabillez', which means something similar to 'undress yourself'.

Does anyone on Scape listen to Deshabillz? This kinda strikes me as a Scape-ish band because it feels more goffy then VK if that makes any sense. For some reason halfway through D+SECT I just wanted to listen to Deshabillz haha. I posted some links to a couple of songs that are pretty boss.

Before I listen to them (have no time to right now), I'd like to get things straight as to the band's name. "Undress yourself" is "Déshabille-toi" or "Déshabillez-vous", not "déshabillez", ugh! ::kiwi:: XD *I am getting scared of turning into another Kiwamu now*

de$habillz sounds like the name of a really bad rapper

"amai kaori" makes me happy, the singer reminds me a bit of Tetsu.

"gekiyaku kigeki" sounds like a totally different band, but it's still good. The opening's dope.

I didn't like "samidare ka reikoku ka ...." though, too much squeaking (I can't really explain this, you either hear it or you don't).

Ah, yes, the undress band . . .
I'd only heard Amai Kaori before, and pretty much liked it. I tend to rather like "gothy" VK bands, like Missalina Rei and such.

I think that's like their only really heavy song but I like that video ::meev:: I think their PVs are some of the cooler ones to come out in the 90s.

I think maybe I should have used the Last.fm description then the JaME one. Last.fm one is a little better but I had assumed it would of been shit since it's Last.fm.

Deshabillz were a Visual Kei band lead by vocalist SHUN, author of all lyrics and creator of the band concept, an obscure and melancholic image, painted in gothic-decadent poetry and music. Main composer was the talented guitarist SHI-NO, capable of writing original songs in gothic rock style enriched by baroque guitarworks. The band name “Deshabillz” comes from French word “déshabillez”, meaning devoid/deprived/stripped, and is pronounced “dezabiyé”.

"Déshabillez" only means "undress", nothing else. The other meanings would be another verb, like "dépouiller". Ugh! *Please leave my language alone. If you don't know, just abstain from asserting anything.*

This band sounds interesting, I'm going to listen this week-end. Thanks Lem! :D

I don't really like the singer's voice so much. But I like their image and their sound a lot.

Just fell in love with "Amai kaori". ::squeeeee::

Is it just me or it sounds very much like a David Bowie song?
