Yay, I get to start a new thread. I'm cool.

Anyway, my doorbell rang just after I got up this morning. It was my CD. I had it sent COD, so I was lucky I had the cash, since I'd kinda forgotten it was coming so soon.

I got a poster, but I havent unrolled it yet. I'm at the age where I dont put up stuff like that, so someone else will have to tell me what it is. Also the cover isnt Mana on the cross. That's just a sticker. The actual cover is really simple.

SHADOW X is back. Yup, "Deth Voice" on 3 songs. But the interesting thing is that K isnt listed for every song. He is only credited on 3 songs as well - twice for "Guiter & Voice" and once just for "Voice". There is no information on drums or bass.

FIrst, I have to say that I love Juka. I consider him the 2nd best vocalist in the world (after Gackt). Seth just doesnt measure up. He's not bad, and I'm trying to give him a chance...but I just feel like he needs more power to his singing. Other people, I'm sure, will feel differently.

The songs themselves are good, in general. It will take alot of listening for them to grow on me. Right away, I like deus ex machina. Deflower has some good harmonies. Lots of headbanging opportunies in most songs. But when I first heard unmoved I just kinda shook my head....I will never miss Juka more than whenever I listen to that song! Just not as good without him....

OK - so those are my thoughts. Now I kinda wish I was going to one of their Japan lives, so I can headbang... But Tokyo is rather far from Osaka and it would be a bit expensive and time-consuming...

Good. x_x Teh cheese, though amusing, slew me.

Thanks for the review. :) I'm resisting the non-Juka angst so I don't end up disappointed with Btg just because he's not there. I can't remember what unmoved sounded like from the live (still deprived of the DVD...) so I won't be comparing Seth's version to Juka's. I'm quite excited to hear it's a heavy album like Mana promised. Hope my copy is waiting for me when I go home for the weekend. :D

I think I'm gonna go lock the other thread now that it's officially out. People can post their thoughts here.

By the by, which song is the clip that plays on the site?

I don't wanna know the Limited Edition cover in detail, because I want it to be a surprise. But what cover looks better?

In my opinion...neither cover is very good! The cross one is too cheezy. The simple one...is too simple! It doesnt even have any lettering or anything. I guess Mana spent more time on the music...

My main concern is the variety in the music. Is it varied very well, and did Mana include electronics like he said? And by chance.. are there any guitar solos? ;DDD

Well...

I certainly find it odd that "SHADOW X" has re-emerged despite there already being a competent death vocalist with Moi dix Mois. Kind of dissapointing to hear that the limited edition cover is really plain though.

... I'm about to burst into tears right now. What does Seth sound like? Deep voice? Smooth? Tell us, man! Tell us!

I hope I don't have to wait too long for it to get here ::weepy::

Interesting. Thats kinda what I thought about his voice, and I said it when I first heard the clip. Seth sounds like Juka, but not as powerful. But I wont pass judgement until I hear it, plus Im probably going to like it alot anyways because I love Moi Dix Mois's sound.

K is only credited on a few songs? Are more of the songs heavy and metalish, or is there some electronic songs? Since apparently only plays guitar on 3 songs. I cant wait until mine comes.
