Gah... my last spanish lesson was 5 years ago ! If you understand what I've said, I'll be very proud of myself ! lol
(On a side note, I know it's none of my business but last time a girl started a thread in french and I said the same thing : I personally think it would be nicer if we -non-native english speakers- kept our own language for private conversations, so that everyone posting on the forums can understand everything... Don't you think so ?)

amasanin wrote:Since you can speak English though there's no need to use another language here. If you can't understand English well then there wouldn't be a point in you being here in the first place. So what is the reason for you speaking in another language amongst yourselves other than to form a clique?
It's ok if you use an occasional phrase in another language here and there but the point is simple - you are in a forum which uses English as a language. Moderators don't speak your language. You are therefore basically posting unmoderated and are only posting for a few select people. In essence, you are using scape space to have a private chat.
Since you know who is who now you can easily take it to private discussion among you no?

Yes, I thought about that too ¬¬...but like i said, it was just an idea _-_flowersofnight wrote:Eliza wrote:Translation: And what if, with the post in spanish, we post a translation in english, like this one? _-_...That way, those who don't understand spanish would read the post in english too :3
But how are we supposed to know that you are typing the same thing in English and Spanish? You could be typing anything as the translation and we wouldn't know. I'm not saying you would do that, but the possibility for someone to try playing tricks is definitely there.
Really, Amasanin is right: it's not practical for us to moderate foreign-language posts. We can't go running to Babelfish (which is notoriously inaccurate anyway) every time someone makes a post; I think it's unreasonable to expect that. Moreover, if we allow Spanish, should we also allow all other languages? Imagine if people started posting in 10 different languages on Scape and we had to figure out how to moderate them all...
