Maybe I'll change my mind if I listen to it more, but I'm not... inclined to listen to it more. D: Deg's still a band I love, but they've been demoted a bit on my priority list. I'm more wary than excited for the upcoming album.
I'm still really excited for the new album. Ryoujoku no Ame is probably in my top 5 Deg songs ever. I like it that much. And AsoM is a fun little song that will probably fit fine on the album. I still don't see the HYOOJ deal of this all. It's not like one song means Deg's abandoned all melody/singing forever. If Pink Killer was a single would everyone hate it? I'm just musing though cause I honestly don't think the song's that bad.

But a sub-par album (OH NOEZ MY OPINION >[) and then CLEVER SLEAZOID and now ASoM.. that can strike some worry into people. RnA isn't going to make it up to the people who aren't too fond of WtD, CS and ASoM.

I agree with you on RnA; it's amazing. But I've got that weighed down by CS and ASoM too now. So it's a matter of listening before I even consider buying, to make sure the album isn't going to be dominated by those senselessly noisy songs. I don't mind one or two... Deg always throws in a few, and they tend to spice the albums nicely, but I don't want it to bcome a trend, so to speak, when I know they have the capacity for stuff like RnA.

And dude, Pink Killer is indisputably awesome because of the ending. ::zetsubou:: "RAAAAWRWHFGDJHDHGAS AAAAAAHJG ....aah."

On a more serious note, I would have been disappointed if Pink Killer was a single... which sort of lends to my point: why are they releasing stuff like CS and ASoM as singles? Those songs are filler material. It confuses me.

I honestly think it's part of their "we're hardcore" gimmick. They want to release their most aggressive songs to shock, just like the ASoM PV. I dunno, thats what it looks like to me.

I keep that song on my computer for the sole purpose of playing the ending at really interesting moments to see what people do. ::shifty:: XD

Really, I don't think the song would have been as cool had it not had that ending.

Guys.. all of VULGAR does not sound like DRAIN AWAY or Kasumi. All of MACABRE doesn't sound like Myaku or [KR]Cube. All of Kisou doesn't sound like FILTH or Embryo. Dir en grey has never been a one trick dog.

Right, they've been a dog that learned it's tricks from other dogs. Dogs named Luna Sea and Kuroyume. ::meev::

I laughed, but be nice! ::meev::

Miz: With all of Deg's albums, I felt like the "mood" of the album as pretty well established by the singles they chose to release...and usually their singles have been pretty diverse, so it gave a good overview of what to expect. So it's just that I'm not sure what's coming, with something like RnA on one end and then CS and ASoM on the other... does that make sense? I'm not throwing in the towel on them, I just have no idea where they're going with such awesomeness on one end and wtfness on the other.

I think that sums it up nicely for most of us. :)

Yeah, I really thought the same exact way when I heard this song. However, it's the only single that they've released after WtD that I've really REALLY disliked, so I'll definitely still be going.

Really, though. There's a difference between a hard song with a decent melody and just... noise.

The lyrics are very worse, I mean there are enough songs about how stupid all the beautiful celebrity stars are, and stuff like that, so the whole theme is so old now. And the message which should be reflected through the lyrics doesn`t get my attention, because the lyrics are just too bad.

And I can`t figure out any melody in that song o.O Or anything which reminds me of a verse, a chorus or bridge.
Just senseless barking.

That`s just my opinion of that song :)

I dunno, what IS Kyogrish anyway? ::kozi::

Bah.. I'm just trying to take it lightly, but I'm thinking that since they're trying to hit the american scene they should learn english -.-;. Or at least have someone tell them if what they say is incorrect. I mean.. The Marrow of a Bone. Anyways.
