cof isn't really that bad... i used to like them a lot but i just got over them, just like i got over manson. but it's not like i really hate them now.
i guess what makes moi dix mois different for me is that they're one of the VERY few metal bands that i actually like. probably because they don't use too much black/death metal vocals.

dani is indeed a "nasty little midget" as one of the ex-band members called him, but i don't think i'll ever really hate their music since it's a part of my history. but i don't like it either

One of my ex roomie was obsessed with CoF and had her wall plastered with CoF stuff...when she came into my room she saw my SS poster and wanted to hear them. She hated how SS sounded so I let her heard DeG, Malice Mizer and MdM...she hated all of them~she didn't care for any jrock at all~
but I didn't care for CoF and plus I moved out so pffft~

Well, I don't think CoF, the band, actually sucks. I just think Dani is a terrible vocalist, the band is actually very talented. Cookie, I really don't think you should have gotten so excited over someone saying Moi dix Mois sounds like Marilyn Manson because.. this person is obviously music illiterate. a complete jackass and can't tell the difference between two COMPLETELY different styles. Next time, laugh at them and say " Wow, you have to be the most musically dense person in all of creation. "

Well, well, well... Actually, I used to listen to BM years ago. I stopped because silly persons just wanted to listen to this kind of music to be "evil" (I won't speak here of all the pityful NS in this "milieu")... So pityful...
Anyway, The first 2 albums of COF are cult. It is my opinion... Then, I saw them live in 1996 or 97 (yeah argh so goddamn far!!! I do not even remember the year ^^) and really it was a great time... I really think Dani's got a beautiful voice who can give you plenty of emotions... Well, then, it is not my favorite BM band anyway, but still, it is too easy to criticize them because they are selling many albums and because teenagers listen to this music (like MManson, and so on). But I also understand people who do not like his voice... ^^
Anyway, I am curious about Dani's film... lol

lol, i used to like black metal too... untill i got sick of all the neo nazi tr00 norwegian black metal stuff, and i don't agree with the church burnings either... so i started listening to mortiis and went into a completely different direction

more on topic: if someone can't tell the difference between moi dix mois and manson it doesn't mean they're a "complete jackass"...
for example to me all rap-like music sounds the same. i know there are quite a lot of different styles in rap too but i don't know the differences because i'm not into it, and for people who are into it there probably are huge differences. so i guess it's the same for people who aren't into manson or moi dix mois.

i don't like mansons last album at all... i liked the albums untill mechanical animals, and holy wood was also ok, but this "new shit" really is shit. and i miss twiggy

twiggy was the rock, but manson seesm to be abandoning the rock and going more towards electronic music, as is evident in his latest works, producing more of a rammstein meets NIN style sound.
but yeah... we all miss twiggy
I did love Holy Wood however.
