They have some mylene farmer influence, but I'd say that she is not the biggest one. David Bowie, Bach (and other classical composers), and horror movie tracks are also big (if not bigger) influences.

I got the impression that the signing is better but the songwritting is quite weak, specially if you compare these songs to his solo albums.

These songs sounds like they went into a more pop-ish sound? I was expecting something more experimental like Kozi solo stuff which is pretty awesome in my books, but I will certainly listen to this of course.

yeah, XA-VAT was more of a Ishii project. Zerotica is definitely their best song.
