I'm a pretty big Gackt fan and I think that's hilarious.
Well, that doesn't mean other people aren't offended by it. I'm not a big Gackt fan, and I care.
I think what's meaner is Flowers saying he'd ban him if he did come. :-P
Well, flowers and I have already had that conversation more times than I'd care to remember.

Well, exactly what is the intent of the person posting that? I have an issue with people posting Gackt-bashing pictures, and I've kept quiet about it, but it's really starting to get beyond what I can tolerate. I know I'm probably the only person on this board who sticks up for Gackt, but really, think about who all is looking at this board. Most people wouldn't tolerate it if it were one of the other artists here, I'd think.
I think the intent of the person posting that was to go in line with what Flowers said about banning Gackt. I doubt it was meant specifically towards Gackt, he just happened to be the person that was said about and so he got to be in the pictures.
Thanks, Illaparatzo. That's what I wanted to know. Saying "I don't think it is", "Well, I do" wasn't getting anywhere, so I felt the need to explain, and I don't care if it's not aimed at Gackt, but I'm just so used to seeing that, surely you can see how I reacted. Some of the posts about Gackt have been rather mean-spirited, so it just starts to bug me. 
Kazuo, I can understand that, but really, some people seem more hostile about it, and, well, let me put it this way: I like both jrock and pop music. Heck I really like 80's Japanese music, and most anyone else would think that's dorky.
Anytime I go to a pop board, there are people who will bash anyone talking about jrock, and when I come here, people make fun of Gackt or whatever pop music, and I feel sometimes like I have to hide behind my earphones all the time and listen to stuff so people won't bash /me/.
This is not aimed at this specific situation anymore, but remember: There are people who like other things out there, and it's really unfair to them to openly mock something they may like. I know people do it anyway, but it doesn't make it nice.

Really? I admit I haven't been following close enough to really be in a position to defend my thoughts if you say I'm wrong. It's just how I've thought things are

I gotta say though, I can honestly say that from day one (I'm a lurker, what can one do about such a bad habit), even long before I registered, I was always smitten by how I thought everybody was civil about things despite the obvious possibilities for much more.
Japan and its exports are definitely something people get overtly passionate about, especially in their teens, and now that we're experiencing a powerful surge in the popularity of the country in the western world anyway, it's just admirable that this forum is what it is.
Or that's what I'm still thinking
But I think I'm derailing the topic too. Let me just voice my swift appreciation of how beautiful he is looking these days. You can't blame anyone for that ^_^
