I was disapointed in the single... they really put the best part of Salome in the preview, the rest of the song was just meh. And Babylon was acctually better ._.

I'd like Salome more if it were sung slower, well everything slower xd and i kinda liked Babylon but it's like bleh as almost all his solo work :c i think Kalm's music fits more to his thing idk

I got Salome today along with Vampire Requiem.

The quality of production is poor as well as the other single but I already gave my opinion about it.

Now about the tracks. I kind of love Salome. this accelerated beat is something I like. The lyrics, melody, I like everything in this song. I really want to see the PV, which I fooly thought came in the single somehow.

And Babylon. Well, I don't know. I must've said I like it but I'm not too fond of it. I find it uncomplete. It is very plain, and doesn't offer increasing emotion trough the song.

And the prologue and epilogue, I like them both. It's like a mixture of Hora and Kalm or something like that. It makes the single tracklist heavier and with this salomeish atmosphere.

Final opinion, I liked most of the tracklis, but B Side is plain and I believe I won't play it as much as Salome.

I re-listened to Vampire Requiem just in case because I've forgotten if I liked it or not. I didn't like it much, it was just okay, but it sounded so normal and limp. For the song VR, I don't know why that guitar was only played at the end, it should've been through the whole song because it was the best part IMO. Don't remember what I think of Curse of Rose, I think it's a bit better.

So I put on Salome and I kind of LOVE it. It took me 10 seconds to go, "THAT'S my Kaya! There he is!" because I love it when he makes these fast-paced dark songs. I'll definitely have to look up the lyrics (anyone have them?) and I do love his voice here.

Babylon was interesting to listen to, but I don't love it as much.

The instrumentals are so creepy, I couldn't even listen to them all the way through.

So, I think Salome is way better than Vampire Requiem. ::squee::

Since VR; Kaya included an english translation with his singles, do you want the japanese lyrics or the english ones?

I was surprised too, but it's a welcome gesture for me.
Here we go then,

Salome

I dance under the blue moon, licking my body
I hover in the night sky, twirling a black veil

I pray on the tip of the nail on my erotic white fingers
I am a diva dancing in the silvery night blindfolded

I have been searching for you while dragging my frayed, decayed and rotting legs

Rose petals are possessed by the moon just like dreams

I need nothing but one thing

Wonderfull! Wonderfull!
I finally caught you who is sweeter than anything in this world

I will kiss your red, ripe lips
Being myself covered by sin and profanity
Please hold me tightly as if you might tear my burning body apart
I want you to take me to somewhere far away

My lungs are about to collapse because of anxiety
Please call my name using your lovely voice

I will gently kiss and bite your lips that are wet with the night's dew
Demand my burning body as if you might tear it apart
I can't keep my ripe body together

I kissed your lips with all my heart
Please smile
I will dismantle my body and sacrifice it to you
So please do not run away from me again

A dancing "Diva of Sodom"
I am still drowning in a worthless dream

[this is not part of the actual lyric anymore, but included at the end of the page in a different font:
"I will kiss your red mouth
Let me kiss your red mouth
Give me, give me, five me your head"]

Babylon

Full Moon
God forbidden garden
Aroma of sweet fruit

Good boy, relax on the rose-colored bed

Let us decorate the thorny tiara and put on lipstick that is as red as blood
The curtain is rising

I blend with the phantom
I fall into the phantom
I kiss the phantom
I am melting into the phantom

I keep falling down from skyscrapers standing so high
as though they were a mirage
I guess this is Babylon, which is fading away

Someone, please hold me so tight that I might break
Someone, please stop me before I really fall apart

I blend with the phantom
I fall into the phantom
I kiss the phantom
I will be killed by the phantom

I want to be locked up in the deepest part of the night
This person who is wet and lit by the moonlight

Thanks!! ^^ The lyrics for Salome are so cool. Kaya always surprises me with his lyrics.

Off topic, but I liked your sentence "I was surprised too, but it's a welcome gesture for me. " I just liked the way that was written ::batsu:: Thanks again!

You're welcome!
And I actually have no clue what my grammar was doing when I wrote that - seems it finally gave up on me.

I'm really late for this one. But frankly, I think this is one of Kaya's best in a while. He delivered exactly the style I've been missing.
