XDDDDDDDDD Elec you win the day with your post.

Hora bigged up this album to be better than it was, in my honest opinion. To have one song with vox is bad enough, but to have purely instrumental.... well... Hora's music isn't strong enough to support itself on it's own.

I think, this is where I will bow out, and my support for Hora's solo works end. Thanks for MODULATE GOD and all you did in Schwarz Stein.

(in fairness though, Inner Elements is SO MUCH BETTER NOW.)

WHERE THE HELL IS THE BEAT
I totally agree, that song was just off. Like, I can sort of see what he was trying to go for with the, uh, "syncopated" beat, but with that combination of instruments it just doesn't work at all.

Elec and Mi-ko, sittin' in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G~

Disappointed to hear there won't be any vocals :-\
My favourite tracks have always been the ones with vocals.

... so did no one buy this CD, or what? This topic seems kind of dead.

I don't really miss Hora's vocals though. KILLING CULTURE is the only real "hit" of his with vocals that I can think of. Maybe "INNER UNIVERSE" too, but that's on the edge.

I dunno, at least one song with vox would have mixed things up a bit. I have enjoyed when Hora contributes vocals, and I absolutely adored the female vocalist from Inner Universe... ah well, so it goes.

I actually like Hora's distorted vocals. He does them well, or so me thinks.

Yeah ... I was hoping there would be more in this thread too. I sent Hora my money last week, so he should get it this week. Maybe I'll post up something when it finally gets here if no one else does.

I thought greed was great too. I loved reject. I wish there had been vocals but Neco Samurai will have to do.

The no vocals thing isnt so bad. The new songs are pretty high energy. Specially the one Im currently listening to, TRANSONICA.

I also like the little cat drawing XD so cute for Hora's neko.

I dunno, did you like his other albums?

Generally I find that his albums are mostly the same sort of Hora-music that he always writes, plus a few hits that make it more or less worth the price of admission. Your mileage may vary.

EDIT: also here's something we all forgot! According to Hora, one of the songs on VENOM is a rare song from the Rudolf Steiner/Schwarz Stein days. Which one do you think it is? ::kozi::

It reminds me of Prominence, except purple instead of orange. It also reminds me of those ghost pokemon, haunter and ghastly. Right?

I really want to listen to Prominence now but I don't know where I put it :(

...oh there's prominence! (sorry) They really seem like they go together, even if Hora probably didn't intend it that way.

ahh...I'm listening now to the album...and I must say, I love it~~
his music always makes me happy;) ^.^
<I'm often listening to his music in the night, when I'm in a bed...such great relax after all day:]>

I don't really miss Hora's vocals though.
if I think about this..I also dont really miss his vocals...yes, his distorted vocals were always nice, but it's his music which's the most important thing
ah...Inner Universe..such great song, one of my favorites songs ever...maybe someday Hora'll record again sth with that vocalist

I also like the little cat drawing XD so cute for Hora's neko
yeah, that drawing is so cute;P

One question: is this album worth buying?
yes! :)....if you like his music (or generally electronic music) if you don't know his music, Venom's a good starting point together with Inner Universe:)
if I like some artist, I always try to support him :)

The more I listen to it- the more I begin to enjoy the songs.

VEIN and DIGNITY especially. I was jut kind of biased at first thinking "BAH it's all the same", until I noticed a few things I hadn't noticed in the songs before.

I really love DIGNITY. I tried reversing it too, just to see if I could understand what Hora-san was saying, and I could only pick out a few words. Like "world" "sky" and things like that in Japanese. Just alittle too much noise.

But I really love the feeling of the whole cd.

Yeah, me too. All instrumentals and another remix sounds like a rather poor basis for an album. I love electronic music and I was originally very excited for Hora's solo work but, with the exception of Another Cell, I found it very average and I've seen little or no development. It's sad but I think the strongest impact it had on me was to make me appreciate Kaya's contribution to Schwarz Stein more. :(
