I had the old thread bookmarked but the link no works after the upgrade and i can't seem to find it on the search function, so I figured I'd make a new thread. I don't have a comprehensive list like the old thread but I would like to add:

Seremedy (Swedish)

Wasn't there also some band called Poupee or something? I really enjoyed the last thread, gave me some good stuff to laugh at.

EDIT: Finally found it after looking through twenty pages manually http://www.scapeforums.com/index.php?threads/non-japanese-vk-bands.3473/

Credit where credit's due, those Swedes had the VK look and feel down better than most of the Westerners who've tried their hand at it. I didn't like the music though.
I'm surprised anyone overseas was still doing visual as late as 2013 though. Even in Japan that's "one of those retro things for weirdos" by now XD

That's really all most of it was good for ::meev::

I just mostly feel embarrassed when I see stuff like the above... I mean the guitarist was in eurovision song contest XD he also played the prince in a snow white theater performance in Sweden before he moved to Japan with his band. As far as I know, stuff haven't been going that well here :P

That's one thing I find so amusing, like when bands like this are on Swedish tv shows and they get asked about if they're big in Japan they'll tell them yes, but truth be told, there's a special group of Japanese people who are into the foreign acts. And also, I don't know if I'd say you're big if you play at Ikebukuro Cyber with 7 other bands :P

Here are some Brazilian groups that call themselves visual kei bands (and that weren't mentioned in the old thread):

Wait isn't that guy in Seremedy Yohio or something?

And I agree. Especially Ut Opia looks more like a boyband trying to look tough...with a pudgy member to keep the special snowflakes diversity-happy.

Don't you see the creepers that the vocalist is wearing? This is pure VK here! lol

I just got those names from some VK blogs and searched for some photos. XD

There's this band from Argentina that made this song (amongst others, but tbh this one pertains to my liking) that's really inspired by old school vk. It's one of my guilty pleasures hahaha. But tbh actual old school vk was as cringy so I don't judge them too hard.

This was really funny to read the posts from the original thread! Funny comments about friends and I like how someone mentioned my old band was the best musical attempt they heard but our visuals sucked (we were 15!) haha.

Moving here to do VK in this day and age is def a big mistake haha. . . Ive only heard bad things from band-girls and even trouble caused to the costume maker for Lynch/DEG by one of the dolts. . . embarrassing and gets you lumped in as the same kind of foreigner BS. meh! haha.

It's not enjoyable at all to me, very cringy... BUUUTT this is actually pretty amazing for just a super-amateur home video from 2006. So props to them! A lot of actual effort was put into this.

But who can forget the best Western VK band ever, Neo Malice Mizer?
Also effort was put into this clip, but I just cannot even with the cardboard guitars hahaha
