For the Malice Mizer paragraph, he pretty much says,

"Yeah, it's been a turbulent ride getting to this point.
My life has just been full of turbulence.

*photo of a waterfall*

Various things spring to mind.
That was the day the members of Malice Mizer and the female head of the company suddenly said out of nowhere with no consultation whatsoever, "Malice Mizer is breaking up."
The end of that meeting was just us quarreling.

Right after that I met up with You and a bunch of close friends and we crossed over to America and commenced recording an album."

Insightful, or just an opportunity for Gackt to show off his abs? You be the judge.

Funny since the four other members all said Gackt disappeared and no one could get a hold of him and next thing they knew he was announcing his solo career.

Like @flowersofnight said, it's the same Gackt story he's been giving for years. Nothing insightful, just more self promotion. At least it does say he was in Okinawa for some time at the start of his solo career. Too bad he doesn't say exactly when since it's a question as to where he was when Kami passed away.

I think I'm mostly bothered by the fact he has to bring this up at all. None of the other members ever do and there's no point to it since it was a long time ago.

Just wanted to add that after all this time Gackt has made a hell of a lot of money and is famous in Japan and all. Yet he's still bothered by this?

lol but hold up here. I mean, Grackt has talked about playing in either Yokohama Arena or Budoukan during the Malice times on some radio thing,
and how it was already really tense between him and the other members at that time.
I hardly think them telling him it was over was "without warning".
Furthermore, if I'm not mistaken, Malice Mizer did not decide to disband...they decided to continue without him. No?
I mean, if he said they kicked him out like he has been, ok. Makes sense.
But this makes it sound like they STOPPEd without him, when they were still considerably successful at the time of the BOB release.
And hey, let's face it, Beast of Blood, Gardenia, and Garnet are just as good as the stuff with him on vocals
His story does seem to change slightly each time for the worse..

Yeah there were comments about how he started to do his own thing during Merveilles especially with recording Le Ceil with out anyone else. I remember reading how other members would talk about how Malice Mizer was a group, they worked on things together. Gackt even said the last time he saw Kami they had a fight.

And they did continue without him and sadly without Kami. The fact that they did after Kami's death shows they did not disband when Gackt left. Even used the music that Kami told them he finally recorded for Malice Mizer.

There is that other thread on this board with the fan club newsletter that was translated that has the four other members saying Gackt disappeared and didn't contact them and then started his solo career. Too bad that didn't get out there like Gackt's version of things.

I should say I do think there is a little truth to what Gackt says in regard to the record label saying they were done with representing Malice Mizer. Some of those concerts had to be very expensive along with filming in France. But as to Malice Mizer dissolving, didn't happen.

Right...but he never even mentions the label . It's this sentence in his blog that is the big issue for me:

MALICE MIZERのメンバーそしてあの当時の女社長に突然
なんの相談も前触れもなく
[MALICE MIZERは解散する]

It feels to me like he's implying it ended when he left (and I assume people'll believe him since it was so long ago).
I mean, that last line is "Malice Mizer is breaking up".
But then, maybe that wasn't what he intended, and he simply worded it poorly (or it could be a translation fault, but I'm pretty confident here...)
Or, and this is what I'm curious about and what interests me the most, maybe he IS telling the truth and at some point their intention really was to disband?
If so, I've never heard anything about it and it seems totally counter everything. But it would be interesting to know.

That's what I got out of it too. Usually when a band disbands, they say, 解散する.

It's purely speculation on my part, but since this is when they parted ways with Columbia, it could be that the band ended their relationship with Columbia because they had the intention of moving forward without Gackt and Columbia presented them with a, "You either move forward with us as the band you are now, or not at all." ultimatum. Columbia may have tried to disband them by terminating their contract. This is purely speculation on my part though, because I wasn't there XD

It's a good specule indeed.
But yeah, we'll probably never know since the only one who ever talks about it in any detail is Gackt.
I don't trust Gackt XD
