Did Gackt sing Gogo No Sasayaki?

I've gone through all the early live shows I have from when Gackt first joined, 1995 and 1996, and I can't find Gogo no Sasayaki. However, I found a video on youtube of a short (60 second) audio clip of Gackt singing the second half of Gogo no Sasayaki. Am I missing something? Was this song changed into another song and I am just forgetting which one? I want to hear more of this song, and also know when Gackt sang it! Does anyone else know? (I can post the youtube link if someone asks, but it's against forum rules)

That rule is more pertaining to the downloads section, we didn't want the place becoming just a Youtube link trading section. Posting a Youtube clip that you want to discuss is generally fine.

At any rate, I took a look through the "retour" book, and "gogo no sasayaki" isn't on any of the Gackt-era setlists they provided, so it's anyone's guess exactly where and when it's from.

How can we find out or potentially find this recording? Looking online for the 3 day in club house mini tour, I found that it was three shows, 5.3 Meguro Rock May Kan, 5.4 Shinjuko Loft, and 5.5 Ikebukuro Cyber. I cant find anything else really, especially since they played these locations multiple times, which waters down any results (not that there were any) further. I also don't speak Japanese, which doesn't help either! Are these shows mentioned in the 'retour' book at all?

Oh this! There was something a long time ago in the downloads here but when I looked it was long dead. If I remember it's from back when Gackt joined the band at the first lives. The only thing I was able to find was on YouTube. The source, I think it was a bootleg from way back then.

Try 10/10/95, Gackt's first live. Here's Baroque. It was recorded for ON AIR WEST 華麗なる復活劇 in Shibuya. This may be from that same recording.

I have that live, and its not there unfortunately. I also just found and looked through the retour book, which does have a setlist for that show, and Gogo no Sasayaki isn't on that setlist, which means the bootleg I have of the show isn't missing anything. That would've been a very likely place for them to play it, their first big show after Gackt joined, but I don't think they did.

It was probably definitely from a show before the release of Voyage, but I don't have any bootlegs from those shows or setlists... Hmm...

Yahho dessu~~

EDIT: Go go no sasayaki is not performed in this bootleg (nevertheless a good listen).

Last year I came across a certain bootleg on Youtube~
It is titled as being "Live at Meguro Rock 1996, May 3"...I cannot vouch for the accuracy of this as I do not have any setlists to confirm with. The live performance features the likes of "shi no butou", "Ma Cherie (Gackt-era rework)" and some of the Tetsu classics (including Baroque).

Please see the link below~ (*^。^*)

Hello Cae, I've seen this video, and watching it again I don't hear any Gogo around 26:50, just Ma Cherie transitioning to Seraph.

Also, a Japanese comment mentions that they believe this is a bootleg from Osaka Warhol on March 24, 1996. I don't speak Japanese so I can't comment on whether they are right nor not. However, I think Gackt must've sang Gogo somewhere between the first live (10/10/95) and the release of Voyage (6/9/96). So either of these Osaka Warhol or Meguro Rock shows, whichever one it is, could've had the song played at them.
I wish I knew how to find more obscure bootlegs so I could locate the full version of Gogo no Sasayaki sung by Gackt!

Indeed you are correct. I had a brain shutdown and completely convinced myself that Go Go was a different song. What a mystery we have on our hands here haha

Even though I mostly prefer Tetsu singing the songs of the Tetsu era, I have to say that Gackt's rendition of Gogo No Sasayaki is absolutely sublime. A+
